Effective dissemination of the Project on building a cultural and civilized lifestyle in Binh Duong

(BDO) On the morning of June 24, at the Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center, the Provincial Party Committee held a conference to summarize Project 02 "Mass mobilization work to participate in building a cultural and civilized lifestyle in Binh Duong province for the period 2021 - 2025". Comrade Nguyen Loc Ha, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee attended and directed the conference.

Also attending were comrades: Nguyen Van Loc, Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Bui Thanh Nhan, Standing Committee member and Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; and Nguyen Thi My Hang, Standing Committee member and Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department.

Over the past five years of implementation, the Provincial Party Committee's Project 02 on building a cultured and civilized lifestyle has achieved many outstanding results, creating a strong ripple effect throughout society. Propaganda efforts have been intensified, contributing to raising awareness, self-discipline, and a sense of responsibility among the people in maintaining environmental hygiene, urban beautification, and building green, clean, and beautiful residential areas.

The entire province has upgraded 100% of neighborhood and hamlet offices (587/587); 98% of households have signed commitments to practice a civilized lifestyle, with 97% of households complying well. 95% of agencies, 19% of businesses, 100% of supermarkets, and 104.16% of markets have registered to meet cultural standards.

Binh Duong has built and renovated 117 parks, bringing the total to 352 parks and gardens; and constructed 62 public toilets in markets, parks, rest stops, etc.

Alongside this, emulation movements were widely implemented with the motto "The State and the people work together," attracting people to actively participate in building neighborhood offices, parks, model streets, installing security cameras, lighting, paving and concreting alleyways, etc.

In particular, the "Civilized Saturday" movement created a positive effect, taking place simultaneously in 10,989 events, attracting more than 574,000 participants; implementing 1,196 projects and tasks with a total value of over 211 billion VND...

In addition to the budget, the funding for organizing the "Civilized Saturday" event also included 15.838 billion VND from social resources and over 15,000 man-days of labor, planting and caring for more than 1.1 million trees...

Delivering a keynote address at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Loc Ha commended the efforts, initiatives, and achievements of the Party committees, government, Fatherland Front, political and social organizations, and the people of the entire province in implementing the Project. He also congratulated the 49 collectives and 110 individuals who received commendations from the Provincial Party Standing Committee for their outstanding achievements in implementing Project 02. This is a well-deserved recognition of the persistent, effective, and creative contributions of these collectives and individuals to the overall development of the province in recent times.

Comrade Nguyen Loc Ha emphasized that, after more than 5 years of implementation, Project 02 has created a clear transformation in awareness and actions among cadres, Party members, and the people regarding the building of a civilized, disciplined, and compassionate lifestyle. Many effective "People's Mobilization" models have been implemented, linked to building cultural life in residential areas, protecting the environment, and promoting cultured behavior in communication and workplaces. This has contributed to strengthening solidarity, a sense of community responsibility, and building an increasingly green, clean, beautiful, and safe living environment.

Through the implementation of the Project, Binh Duong has achieved high social consensus in carrying out urban development programs, infrastructure upgrades, land clearance, and many other important political tasks. Project 02 has truly contributed to changing the urban landscape, improving the quality of life, and creating a distinctive culture for the people of Binh Duong.

At the conference, the Provincial Party Committee awarded Certificates of Commendation from the Prime Minister to two individuals from the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department for their achievements in their work from 2019 to 2023, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.
