Checking the preparations for the inauguration ceremony of Phan Thiet Military Airport

On the morning of November 13, comrade Nguyen Hong Hai - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting and inspected the field work of preparations for the inauguration ceremony of the Phan Thiet Military Airport Construction Investment Project, a project to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Attending the meeting were representatives of the Air Defense - Air Force, along with leaders of departments, branches and localities of the province.

The Phan Thiet Military Airport Construction Investment Project has a total investment of 7,925 billion VND, implemented in the period of 2021 - 2025, with the goal of building a military airport with a runway, signal light system, and navigation station for shared military and civilian activities; at the same time, building barracks to ensure the operations of two air force regiments 920 and 915.

To date, the main items of the project have been basically completed, ready for the inauguration ceremony scheduled to be held on December 19, 2025.

Representatives of the Air Defense - Air Force reported on the progress of the deployment.

At the meeting, representatives of the Air Defense - Air Force reported on the progress of implementation, site clearance, relocation of the 220 kV high voltage power line, handling of the leveling area to ensure clearance at the 21st terminal, and other contents related to airport security and safety.

Comrade Nguyen Hong Hai and the working group inspected the actual situation.

In his concluding remarks, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai requested the Air Defense - Air Force to develop a detailed plan in coordination with the Provincial People's Committee Office, departments, branches and localities to synchronously deploy the tasks. He also assigned relevant agencies and units to coordinate in promptly resolving the recommendations of the Service, ensuring the progress and technical requirements of the project.

After the meeting, comrade Nguyen Hong Hai and the working delegation inspected the construction items and the area where the inauguration ceremony was planned to be held.
