Lam Dong urgently builds two projects to handle landslides on National Highway 20 and National Highway 28.

According to the Emergency Construction Order, the project to handle and overcome landslides and ensure traffic safety on National Highway 28, section Km47+252 - Km54+000 (through Son Dien commune) has a budget of 4.2 billion VND. For the project to build an emergency project to handle and overcome landslides to ensure traffic safety on National Highway 20, section Km262+400 - Km262+530 (D'Ran Pass Suspension Bridge area) in Xuan Truong ward - Da Lat, the budget is 5 billion VND.

The time to complete both projects is 45 days from the date of signing the emergency construction order. The funding source for implementation is taken from the additional source of the Central Budget for road economic activities in 2025 and other balanced state budget sources.

Given the urgency and the level of impact of landslides on neighboring areas, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction full authority to decide on matters related to emergency construction activities, and to take full responsibility before the law and the Provincial People's Committee for the legality, objectivity and accuracy in the process of overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.

The Department of Construction shall preside over and coordinate with the Department of Finance to review, synthesize and propose additional funding sources to implement landslide remediation work on National Highway 20 (section Km262+400 - Km262+530) and National Highway 28 (section Km47+252 - Km54+000), ensuring that the project is implemented in accordance with regulations and completed in the shortest time.

On November 2, the Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee issued a Decision to declare a natural disaster emergency situation for the above two locations, requesting the immediate implementation of emergency measures to ensure traffic safety and limit damage.

The Provincial People's Committee directed the functional forces to put up warning signs, strictly prohibiting people and unrelated vehicles from approaching the dangerous area; organize the evacuation of households around the landslide site to a safe place; maintain 24/7 duty to monitor geological developments, displacement and cracking of road structures; traffic diversion and regulation work needs to be carried out promptly, at the same time quickly identify the cause and propose solutions to stabilize long-term.
