Mr. Nguyen Van Long in Tien Binh village (Tam Duong town) rose from developing an agricultural economic model. After getting married, in 2018, his parents gave him 5 hectares of barren hill land. From scratch, he decided to invest in livestock and crop farming to develop a sustainable family economy. After visiting models of agricultural economic development, he realized that breeding buffaloes was a new direction, so he boldly borrowed capital to invest. In 2020, he received support from the province of 200 million VND to invest in building 2 barns, with a total area of over 300m2 for livestock farming. In addition, he also improved the land and planted fruit trees, including green-skinned grapefruit, oranges, lemons, and Thai jackfruit. Currently, he has bought more land, expanding to 10 hectares of fruit trees of all kinds that have begun to yield harvests. His family's agricultural economic model brings in an income of more than 200 million VND/year.
Tea trees on Tam Duong land are the main crop bringing high economic efficiency, helping people to sustainably reduce poverty. In the 2015-2020 term, the District Party Committee issued Resolution No. 01 on "Developing and intensively cultivating high-quality tea trees, period 2015-2020 and caring for and stably developing tea areas in the period 2020-2025". The district has promoted propaganda work on policies, support, and economic values in developing and intensively cultivating tea trees. People agree and actively respond to the expansion of concentrated tea growing areas in communes such as: Ban Bo, Ban Giang, Ban Hon, Na Tam, Son Binh, Binh Lu, Then Sin... The whole district has over 2,332 hectares of tea, with a total output of over 17,000 tons per year. From growing tea, people increase their income, 3-4 times higher than growing rice and corn; Many families earn from 100 to 300 million VND/year. The district has built and been granted a certificate of protection for the "Tam Duong tea" brand, the tea production value reaches over 120 billion VND/year, the export value reaches over 60 billion VND/year.

Mr. Lo Van Soi's family in Na Hieng village (Na Tam commune) used to be a poor household. In 2017, he boldly converted his fields and fields to grow and care for 1 hectare of high-quality Kim Tuyen tea. Since then, his family has received support from the district for seeds, fertilizers, and techniques for growing and caring for tea trees. Thanks to proper planting, care, and pest control techniques, his family's tea area has grown and developed well, yielding nearly 1.5 tons of tea buds per crop. In the past 3 years, his family has risen out of poverty and become rich legitimately.
Tam Duong district has planned a concentrated production area, specializing in 600 hectares of rice, over 700 hectares of macadamia trees; nearly 400 hectares of temperate fruit trees; 300 hectares of cassava. The district has attracted 9 enterprises, 6 cooperatives, 3 craft villages to carry out investment linkages in agriculture and build and promote the effectiveness of the product brands "Tam Duong tea", "Binh Lu cassava vermicelli"; maintain and develop 39 OCOP products. Up to now, the average income in the district has reached 46 million VND/person/year; the poverty rate has decreased to 12.4%.
These results have contributed to helping Tam Duong district successfully implement the goals and tasks set out in the Resolution of the Party Congress at all levels for the 2020-2025 term, especially the target of sustainable poverty reduction. Thereby, contributing to increasing income, improving the material and spiritual life of the people, building Tam Duong homeland to be more and more prosperous.
