Temporarily stop running two pairs of Hue - Da Nang trains

Due to the complicated developments of storm No. 12, which has weakened into a tropical depression and is forecast to cause heavy rain in the area from Hue to Da Nang, the railway industry has decided to temporarily suspend the operation of two pairs of trains HD1/2 and HD3/4 on the Hue - Da Nang route on October 23 and 24.

In case of natural disasters, units will adjust their operating plans, reduce or suspend trains through the affected areas, and prepare plans to ensure the safety of goods and passengers. Railway units also have adequate reserves of supplies, food, drinking water, medicine and medical equipment to respond to incidents of rain and floods that disrupt train operations.

In addition, agencies, units and local authorities are required to strengthen inspection and reinforcement of railway infrastructure works at key locations, prone to landslides or flooding; strictly implement patrol and guard regimes at key points such as bridges, tunnels, weak roads, signal information areas; ensure smooth information and absolute train safety.
