Free health screening for 325 underprivileged women.

Doctors from the Kien Giang Provincial Center for Disease Control provide health advice to women.

At Tan Hiep District Health Center, a team of doctors and medical staff from the Kien Giang Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention provided gynecological examinations, general ultrasounds, cancer screenings, and health consultations to 325 disadvantaged women; of these, 225 women received free medication.

During the screening, doctors discovered 33 cases of ovarian cysts and uterine fibroids; of these, 4 cases were recommended for surgery. The Kien Giang Provincial Association for the Support of Poor Patients will provide financial assistance for the surgery for these cases.

The total cost of gynecological screening and treatment, exceeding 80 million VND, was raised through donations mobilized by the Kien Giang Provincial Association for the Support of Poor Patients and the Kien Giang Provincial Center for Disease Control.

In May 2025, the Kien Giang Provincial Association for the Support of Poor Patients is expected to continue coordinating with other units to organize free gynecological screening and treatment for disadvantaged women in several industrial zones in Chau Thanh district.
