Loc Thanh Primary and Secondary School has more than 60% ethnic minority students. The presence of teachers like Mr. Thach Pholla not only contributes to improving the quality of education but also serves as an important bridge between the school and students and parents. Mr. Pholla understands that for ethnic minority students, knowledge is not always the top priority. Many students have to do housework and help their families, so they often miss school. Some students are still shy because of their limited Mandarin and feel inferior about their circumstances. Understanding that, he proactively visits each house to persuade, patiently talks, and finds ways to support them so that they can confidently go to class.

In addition, Mr. Pholla also actively participates in local community activities and social work. He contributes to organizing emulation movements, supporting poor students to overcome difficulties, and coordinating to mobilize students to attend class at the beginning of the school year. That connection helps the image of the teacher in the eyes of students and parents no longer be a distant model, but like a friend and relative in the community.

With his tireless contributions, in the 2024-2025 school year, Mr. Pholla was recognized by the Department of Education and Training as an excellent homeroom teacher at the provincial level. This is not only a worthy recognition for a dedicated young teacher but also a testament to the role of ethnic minority teachers in remote areas.
