Donated 250 liters of chemicals to prevent and control epidemics after floods to Thai Nguyen health care

Director of Hai Phong City Department of Health Le Minh Quang and the working group presented 250 liters of mosquito and insect killing chemicals to Thai Nguyen Province Center for Disease Control to treat the environment and prevent dengue fever after the flood. The above chemicals were supported by the Department of Health, Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital and the City's International Medical Quarantine Center. Sharing the heavy losses of Thai Nguyen province's people, Director of the Department of Health Le Minh Quang hopes that Thai Nguyen's health sector will soon overcome the consequences after the flood, properly treat the environment to prevent disease outbreaks, and promptly overcome the damage to equipment and facilities of medical examination and treatment units to meet the health care needs of the people.

Director of Thai Nguyen Department of Health Dang Ngoc Huy outlined to the working delegation of Hai Phong City Department of Health the damages to Thai Nguyen's health sector after the flood.

Director of Thai Nguyen Department of Health Dang Ngoc Huy said: After storm No. 11 on October 6-7, many communes and wards in Thai Nguyen were flooded by floodwaters and heavy rains. Especially in the health sector, many medical examination and treatment facilities and centers were flooded almost to the first floor, damaging many properties, machines and medical examination and treatment equipment. Currently, Thai Nguyen health sector is working with the government system and people to overcome the damage after the flood. However, the environmental treatment and potential risk of many epidemics after the water recedes are very unpredictable... With the efforts of the political system, people, especially the attention and sharing of many medical units in provinces and cities, Thai Nguyen health sector will quickly overcome the consequences of this historic flood.

After storm No. 11 and its circulation, it has caused great impacts on housing, infrastructure, transportation, agriculture, health care, education in Thai Nguyen... with total damage over 12,200 billion VND.
