At meetings with leaders of the ruling Tanzania Revolutionary Party (CCM), the Government, the National Assembly and agencies in the field of anti-corruption and justice in Tanzania, comrade Phan Dinh Trac respectfully conveyed the greetings of General Secretary, President To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man to Ms. Samia Suluhu Hassan, Chairwoman of the CCM Party, President of Tanzania and leaders of the Party and State of Tanzania, and respectfully thanked the CCM Party and President Samia Hassan for accompanying and sharing with the Party, State and people of Vietnam, and promptly expressing condolences upon the passing of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
Comrade Phan Dinh Trac affirmed that the Party and State of Vietnam highly appreciate Tanzania's position and role in the African region and the world, and congratulated Tanzania on its achievements under the leadership of the CCM Party in recent years in socio -economic development, improving the quality of public services, attracting foreign investment, enhancing international status, and actively contributing to the common development of the region and the world.
Comrade Phan Dinh Trac informed the Vietnamese side about the great and historic achievements that Vietnam has achieved in the cause of renovation and socialism in the fields of socio-economics, foreign affairs, party building, anti-corruption, and judicial reform; emphasized that Vietnam always attaches importance to the traditional solidarity, friendship and cooperation with Tanzania, identifying Tanzania as one of the countries in Africa that needs to prioritize promoting political-diplomatic relations and economic cooperation. The Head of the Delegation affirmed that Vietnam hopes to soon welcome the President of Tanzania, Chairwoman of the CCM Party, to visit and work in Vietnam to continue deepening relations and expanding bilateral cooperation; requested Tanzania to create favorable conditions for Vietnamese enterprises and citizens to live and do business in Tanzania.
At the meeting with the Delegation, Tanzanian Deputy Prime Minister Doto Mashaka Biteko highly appreciated Vietnam's development achievements and expressed his impression of the large FDI capital of nearly 37 billion USD invested in Vietnam in 2023; agreed with the measures to strengthen the cooperative relationship between the two countries proposed by the Delegation, such as continuing to increase the exchange of delegations at all levels, especially high-level delegations of the Parties, Governments, and National Assemblies of the two countries; Tanzania soon opening a diplomatic representative office in Hanoi; coordinating the organization of activities to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2025; expanding new areas of cooperation such as education - training, information technology, digital transformation, telecommunications infrastructure development; continuing to coordinate and support each other at multilateral forums, strengthening cooperation within the framework of South - South and the tripartite model.
CCM Deputy Secretary General John Mongella was very pleased with the good development of the relationship between the two brotherly parties since 1965; said that the good relationship between Vietnam and Tanzania, between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the CCM has contributed to the development of Tanzania; agreed on measures to strengthen the close relationship between the two Parties to orient and promote bilateral cooperation between the two countries, such as increasing the exchange of information, theory, experience in Party building, training of cadres, encouraging the development of relations between political and social organizations of the two Parties. The Deputy Secretary General highly appreciated the positive contributions of Viettel Company in Tanzania (Halotel) to the development of Tanzania, affirming that he will support Halotel to operate stably and long-term in Tanzania.
At the meeting with Tanzanian National Assembly Vice President Mussa Azzan Zungu, the two sides agreed to increase delegation exchanges between the two parliaments; enhance consultations and experience exchange in law-making, responding to traditional and non-traditional security challenges of mutual concern; and continue to closely coordinate and support each other at regional and international inter-parliamentary mechanisms.
During two working sessions with Vice President of the Tanzanian Anti-Corruption Commission (PCCB) Neema Mwakalyelye and Chief Administrator of the Tanzanian Courts Elisante Ole Gabriel, the two sides informed about the organization and operation, shared experiences in judicial reform and anti-corruption; agreed to promote cooperation activities between judicial and anti-corruption agencies of the two countries, including the Central Internal Affairs Commission and the PCCB to exchange and share experiences in the fight against corruption, contributing to improving the effectiveness of serving the tasks of socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security of each country.
During the visit, the delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam also visited and worked with the staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Tanzania and Viettel Tanzania (Halotel). Comrade Phan Dinh Trac requested the Embassy and Halotel to continue to make efforts to successfully complete the assigned political tasks, contributing to promoting the comprehensive, profound and more effective development of the traditional friendship and good cooperation between Vietnam and Tanzania, actively contributing to the development of the country”./.
