Strengthening propaganda of legal policies on sea and island sovereignty

The training conference was attended by many delegates who are officers working in foreign information, press and publishing information, reporters, editors, and reporters working in the dissemination andeducation of law in some localities in the Northern region.

Mr. Ho Hong Hai, Deputy Director of the Legal Department, Ministry of Information and Communications, spoke at the conference.

The conference focused on informing, discussing and exchanging on contents and topics such as: Communicating Vietnam's policies and laws on seas and islands; position, role and importance of seas and oceans; Vietnam's legitimate rights and interests in the East Sea; marine and island resources and environment; current situation of seas and islands; results of the struggle to protect sovereignty over seas and islands in the first 6 months of 2024...

The conference is one of the practical activities, helping reporters, editors to raise awareness of the role and importance of Vietnam's seas and islands, as well as the current situation of seas and islands; thereby promoting propaganda, bringing the policies of the Party and Government to all classes of people.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Ho Hong Hai, Deputy Director of the Legal Department, Ministry of Information and Communications, said: In order to contribute to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the Central Executive Committee on the Strategy for sustainable development of Vietnam's marine economy, the Ministry of Information and Communications recognizes the need to pay special attention to the dissemination of policies and laws on the protection of the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland, especially for cadres working in foreign information, journalists, reporters and editors.

These are people who play a very important role in disseminating policies and laws through news articles and reports, spreading the message of protecting the sovereignty of the Fatherland's seas and islands to all classes of people.

Therefore, this conference will help foreign information workers, journalists, reporters, and editors have more information and knowledge about the sea, islands, and oceans to continue to effectively carry out information and propaganda work about the sea, islands, and oceans in the coming time.

Lieutenant Colonel Mai Xuan Huong, Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department, Political Department, Navy said: Given the current requirements for protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland, propaganda work needs to be further promoted to help the people and forces better understand the sea and islands and the responsibilities of the forces participating in protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands.

"For the navy, we always educate officers and soldiers to firmly grasp their tasks, thereby constantly improving the quality of training and combat readiness, truly becoming the core force in protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland," said Lieutenant Colonel Huong.
