According to Hindustan Times , the tragic accident occurred in Chanvas, Chamba, Himachal Pradesh, India, at around 9:30 p.m. on August 7.
At that time, the car carrying 6 people, including 5 members of a family, was hit by a falling rock, causing the car to plunge into a deep ravine. Villagers said they heard a loud noise and quickly called the police.

The accident killed all six people in the car and it took police and rescue forces six hours to find their bodies.
The six victims were identified as Rajesh Kumar, 40, a government school teacher in Bulwas village, his wife Hanso, 36, daughter Aarti, 17, and son Deepak, 15. Hanso's brother Hemraj, 37, and a villager accompanying them, Rakesh Kumar, 44, were also among the dead.
The accident occurred just 1 km from the victim's home as the family was returning to Bulwas to celebrate Rakshabandhan.
Police have opened an investigation into the incident.
