Planet Football has calculated that Man City will have the highest wage bill in the Premier League in the 2025/26 season, at over £230m per year. The Etihad Stadium team has two players in the top 10 highest paid players in the league: Erling Haaland (£525,000 per week) and Bernardo Silva (£300,000 per week).
Manchester United, the club from the same city as Man City, also spends a lot on their players. The "Red Devils" are estimated to pay up to 178 million pounds in annual wages to their players, ranking second on the list.
MU's board of directors is trying to reduce the salary fund every year. After letting Marcus Rashford go to Barcelona on loan, the "Red Devils" are also urgently looking for a new destination for Jadon Sancho.
Liverpool, the reigning Premier League champions, are only fifth on the list, paying £155m in wages a year. This summer, the Anfield team made major changes to their squad, getting rid of high-paid players such as Trent Alexander-Arnold, Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez.
On the other hand, Liverpool also added new names with high salaries such as Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong. If the team continues to strengthen the attack this summer with expensive contracts like Alexander Isak, Liverpool's salary fund will increase significantly.
Chelsea and Arsenal pay £169 and £167 million in wages each year respectively. Tottenham, meanwhile, spend just £101 million on player wages each season, a figure less than Aston Villa (£120 million).
