Attending the gift-giving ceremony were representatives of the commune leaders, Viettel Phong Tho - the accompanying unit and people of 2 villages: Si Choang, Group 2.

Colonel Lo Van Quy - Deputy Commander of the Provincial Border Guard Command and representatives of Viettel Phong Tho presented phones and gifts to the people.

With the goal of promoting the "Digital Education for All" movement in the border area, the provincial Border Guard has promoted socialization, calling for and mobilizing organizations and units to support the purchase of 9 smartphones; Viettel Phong Tho donated SIM cards with internet connection to 9 poor families in 2 villages: Si Choang, Group 2. At the same time, nearly 100 pairs of sandals and candies were given to people and children in the 2 villages. The total value of the gifts is about 50 million VND.

Representatives of Vang Ma Chai Border Guard Station and Viettel Phong Tho gave sim cards and instructed people on how to use smartphones.

At the gift-giving ceremony, officers of Vang Ma Chai Border Guard Station disseminated and instructed on how to use the "crime reporting mailbox" model by scanning QR codes via phone.

Giving away free smartphones helps poor households access information technology, gradually filling information gaps and opening up many changes in the lives of ethnic minorities in border areas. Through this, the provincial Border Guard hopes that people will grasp the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies; directives and resolutions on socio -economic development quickly and promptly; use online public services... Thereby, improving knowledge and quality of life, contributing to narrowing the gap, promoting digital transformation in border areas.
