Surprised with the money transfer feature linked from Zalo
On January 20, Mr. Quang Huy (52 years old, Hanoi) paid for his family's newly purchased TV. He was surprised by the convenience and speed when he first used the money transfer feature linking the Techcombank and Zalo applications.
Accordingly, the electronics company employee sent the account number and bank name to Mr. Cuong via Zalo. Mr. Huy clicked on the account information in the message, and immediately, the transfer interface opened on the Techcombank Mobile application - the digital banking application that this customer was using.
At this time, the recipient's account number has been entered on the transaction screen. Mr. Huy only needs to check the information again, enter the amount to be transferred, confirm with the OTP code and the transfer process is complete.
Previously, with a transaction following the normal procedure, Mr. Cuong would have to open the banking application, log in with a password, select the destination bank, enter the beneficiary account number to make the money transfer order.
“For people like me, re-entering or re-checking the recipient’s account number is a bit complicated because the biggest fear is reading the wrong account number. I didn’t think Techcombank had such a convenient service,” he said.
Ms. Bich Phuong (32 years old, Ho Chi Minh City) said that she often imports clothes from suppliers to sell at Ba Chieu market (Binh Thanh district, Ho Chi Minh City). Information exchange between buyers and sellers is mainly through Zalo messages.
Recently, when transferring nearly 20 million VND to the seller via Techcombank Mobile, Ms. Trang found that the payment steps had been simplified.
Similar to Mr. Huy, she just clicked on the account number information received via Zalo, the payment interface appeared with the recipient's matching information. She entered the amount to be transferred, authenticated the payment with the OTP code. The transaction was completed.
“No matter which bank account the recipient uses, the process is the same. I save at least 30 seconds for each transaction since this new feature was introduced,” the female trader shared.
Efforts to provide seamless user experience
Techcombank is one of the first banks to link up with Zalo, building deeplinks, helping users shorten the transfer process, while still ensuring and complying with security and safety for users. This model was developed with the support of AI.
With the vision of "Transforming the financial industry - Enhancing the value of life", Techcombank quickly cooperated with Zalo to deploy this feature. Mr. Tran Thanh Hoai - Techcombank representative said, at Techcombank, all solutions start from observing and understanding the needs and habits of customers, thereby providing appropriate solutions/proposals.
“Before the money transfer linking feature on Zalo, the customer experience had a “broken point”. Specifically, to make a payment, customers needed to copy the account number to the banking application, or download the payment QR code image to the photo library, then go to the banking application to scan the QR code, and then go to the final destination, the money transfer order page. To remove the above “broken point”, Techcombank and Zalo have jointly launched a new feature, making the customer experience more seamless”, Mr. Hoai said.
With this feature, when users receive the beneficiary account number or QR code, they just select Techcombank from the list of banking applications on Zalo, 1 touch and the transaction will be immediately redirected to the money transfer/payment order page by QR with pre-filled account number information. The sender reduces data entry operations, avoiding errors.
“We have discussed very carefully with technology partners, applied advanced security methods, digitally signed messages, had security codes when communicating between two systems, and could not be faked. Customers can feel completely secure when transacting through the application. In fact, thousands of customers who have used it in the past have given positive reviews about the new experience,” informed a Techcombank representative.
Talking about potential, the bank representative assessed that Zalo is an application that is reaching about 75 million users, from there, this technology will quickly become popular, many users will benefit and have the best experience with banking services.
Integrating money transfer right into the chat box is a big step forward in the cashless payment experience. Simple, convenient, and safe for users.
Welcoming Lunar New Year, Zalo cooperated with Techcombank to launch a beautiful QR money transfer feature with an exclusive dragon collection from Techcombank.
Thanks to strong investment in digital banking, more than 12 million individual customers of Techcombank are benefiting from new solutions and the best experience. With 4.8/5 rating on App Store, Techcombank Mobile is a digital banking application that receives positive reviews from users. Recently, Techcombank Mobile also received the grand award "Best Digital Banking Application in Asia - Pacific " from Global Finance.
