Speed up construction

On the flood-avoidance and rescue route connecting the districts and cities of Tay Hoa, Phu Hoa, Tuy Hoa and Tuy An, construction units are mobilizing nearly 50 workers and engineers along with dozens of road rollers, dump trucks, graders, excavators, etc. to lay asphalt on the road surface. Nearby, another construction team is carrying out traffic safety system items, markers, signs, etc.

Mr. Ho Quang Thang, Commander of the Flood Avoidance, Rescue and Relief Road Project (Tan Lap Company Limited) said: Up to this point, the bridge and culvert items on the N1 canal route have been 100% completed. Regarding the route, the basic construction units have completed the reinforcement of the slope and longitudinal ditch; are organizing many construction teams to complete the crushed stone foundation of the sections Km17+00 - Km17+100, Km18+350 - Km18+680 and asphalt pavement. For the northern section of Phu Hoa town (section from Km20+670.48 - Km21+274), the contractor has basically completed the drainage system of longitudinal and transverse sewers, sidewalks, lighting and asphalt pavement of the remaining road surface. The total construction value under the contract to date has been 65 billion VND, reaching nearly 95% of the construction value.

According to the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, package 01EC, belonging to the Flood Rescue and Relief Route connecting districts and cities: Tay Hoa, Phu Hoa, Tuy Hoa and Tuy An (step 01 - phase 2) has a route from Km17+00 - Km20+670.48 and section Km20+670.48 - Km21+274. The project is divided into many different sections. In which, the section from Km17+00 - Km20+670.48 has a roadbed width of 9m; the section from Km20+670.48 - Km21+274 has a roadbed width of 21.25m. The project started in August 2020; to date, it has basically met and exceeded the set schedule.

Soon to be put into use

Right from the first day of construction, the flood-avoidance and rescue route connecting the districts and cities of Tay Hoa, Phu Hoa, Tuy Hoa and Tuy An has always received great attention and support from the local government and people.

Mr. Le Van Du in Hoa My Tay commune (Tay Hoa district) said: Previously, this road was a small concrete road along the N1 canal, people often traveled by motorbike or small trucks to go to the fields to work and transport agricultural products. However, some households who need to harvest acacia and some agricultural products by large trucks have to pay for transportation by small trucks and take a detour, nearly 20km further. Therefore, when the State built this road, people were very happy and excited. I hope that this route will soon be completed to create more convenient conditions for people to travel.

The completion of the Flood Rescue Route connecting the districts and cities of Tay Hoa, Phu Hoa, Tuy Hoa and Tuy An not only helps improve traffic infrastructure, but also creates favorable conditions for people to travel and transport goods and agricultural products, as well as contributes to promoting local socio-economic development; creating favorable conditions for rescue activities in emergency situations.

As for Mr. Nguyen Tanh in Phu Hoa town (Phu Hoa district), the flood avoidance and rescue route coming into operation will be an opportunity for him to boldly invest and develop the economy . Mr. Tanh shared: My family has more than 3 hectares of land in Dong Din area, but because of the difficult roads, I have not dared to invest or exploit it. When this route comes into operation, I will research some models of cultivation, livestock breeding, and combine appropriate services to develop the family economy.

Mr. Dam Thanh Phong, Head of Quality Management Department 3 (Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board) said: The flood-avoidance and rescue route connecting the districts and cities of Tay Hoa, Phu Hoa, Tuy Hoa and Tuy An is a key traffic project of the province. The completed project will not only help improve traffic infrastructure, but also create favorable conditions for people to travel, transport goods and agricultural products as well as contribute to promoting local socio-economic development. This route also aims to create favorable conditions for rescue and rescue activities in emergency situations. Currently, the contractor is carrying out the final stages to complete this route in May and put it into use from the beginning of June 2025.
