In April 2025, the Provincial People's Council officially approved the Master Plan for the construction of Bac Tan Uyen 1 Industrial Park (IP) at a scale of 1/5,000. The project has a scale of 786 hectares, with an investment capital of over VND 26,000 billion (equivalent to 1 billion USD), invested by Thaco Group. This IP is oriented to develop in-depth in the fields of mechanics and supporting industries, not only serving the equipment, component and high-tech industries but also expecting to attract more enterprises in the green industry.
Recently, Binh Duong also held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Cay Truong and Bau Bang Industrial Parks (phase 2). Cay Truong Industrial Park is planned on an area of 700 hectares, with a total investment capital of more than VND 5,459 billion, prioritizing the attraction of high-tech, environmentally friendly industries, ready to receive high-quality foreign direct investment (FDI) projects, in line with the province's sustainable development orientation. Meanwhile, the Bau Bang Industrial Park expansion (phase 2) adds 380 hectares of clean land adjacent to the existing industrial park, providing synchronous and modern infrastructure, ready to serve large-scale industrial production investors.
In recent times, Binh Duong has issued many important policies to attract investment and develop the economy. In particular, Binh Duong focuses all resources to form and develop industrial parks according to the plan to meet the production and business requirements of domestic and foreign enterprises. According to the plan approved by the Prime Minister, Binh Duong has 33 industrial parks with a total area of 14,790 hectares. To date, the whole province has 29 industrial parks with a total planned area of over 12,745 hectares; of which 28 industrial parks have been put into operation with a total area of over 12,000 hectares. The industrial parks have attracted 3,288 projects, including 2,592 FDI projects with a total registered investment capital of nearly 31.66 billion USD and 696 domestic investment projects with a total registered investment capital of 95,230 billion VND.
According to Mr. Nguyen Trung Tin, Head of Binh Duong Industrial Park Management Board, the Management Board continues to innovate and further improve policies and adjust the goals and development orientations of industrial parks to adapt to the new context. Accordingly, the construction and development of industrial parks will be more specialized. The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Management Board to establish the Zoning Plan of the following industrial parks: Vinh Lap, Binh Duong Riverside, Tan Lap I, Lai Hung, Bac Tan Uyen 2 and Dau Tieng 1A. Of which, Vinh Lap Industrial Park has completed the planning task and submitted it to the Department of Construction for appraisal; the remaining industrial parks are implementing the request for capital allocation for planning.
Improve competitiveness
With the view of taking infrastructure as an advantage to attract investors, Binh Duong has always focused on developing comprehensive economic and social infrastructure in recent times. With preferential policies, favorable conditions in infrastructure and public and transparent administrative procedures, the province's industrial parks continue to become attractive destinations for investors, especially foreign investors.
To continue to develop industrial parks more and more sustainably, industrial parks in Binh Duong are proactively taking all measures to attract increasingly high-quality and effective investment projects. Binh Duong is also preparing well conditions such as clean land fund, proactively planning industrial parks, technology ecosystems, implementing human resource training, building social housing, housing for workers, providing adequate and timely labor resources for enterprises investing in the province.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony of Cay Truong Industrial Park and Bau Bang Industrial Park expansion (phase 2), Mr. Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that the groundbreaking of the industrial parks continues to mark an important turning point in the process of transforming the smart industrial development model, including upgrading existing industrial parks, building new green, ecological, smart industrial parks with the ability to provide 4.0 technology platforms such as IoT, Big Data... Cay Truong Industrial Park and Bau Bang Industrial Park expansion (phase 2) will become a symbol of smart, ecological industrial parks, integrating digital technology and renewable energy. Along with that, the concentrated information technology park, with a scale of 15.47 hectares, will create a favorable environment for investment activities to attract domestic and foreign capital and technology, contributing to building the information technology industry into a key economic sector of the province.
It can be seen that the current land fund of industrial parks in Binh Duong has achieved a fairly high occupancy rate. In the coming period, investment attraction in the province's industrial parks will have a more selective shift, in the direction of specialization, ecology, intelligence and will create new attraction. Existing industrial parks and new industrial parks are having many solutions to improve the competitiveness and attractiveness of industrial parks to meet the increasing needs of investors.
In 2025, Binh Duong will continue to accelerate the establishment of new industrial parks and expansion of industrial parks. In particular, Binh Duong will accelerate the establishment of high-tech industrial parks and supporting mechanical industrial parks. At the same time, Binh Duong will develop policies and implement support and incentives to convert and relocate enterprises located outside industrial parks and clusters in the South of the province to industrial parks and clusters in the North, in order to contribute to promoting the industrialization and modernization of the province. |
