Comac Aircraft Corporation wants to expand long-term cooperation in Vietnam

The Chairman of Comac Group wants to expand cooperation with Vietnam in other fields such as aircraft maintenance and repair, manufacturing, equipment and spare parts production, etc.

Continuing his program of attending the 16th Annual Pioneers Meeting of the World Economic Forum and working in China, on the afternoon of June 26, in Shanghai, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received the leaders of the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (Comac).

At the meeting, Mr. Shen Bo, General Director of Comac Group, proposed that Vietnam continue to facilitate the operation of Comac aircraft, support cooperation between Vietjet and Comac, and expand cooperation in other areas such as aircraft maintenance and repair, manufacturing, and production of equipment and spare parts, etc.

Mr. Shen Bo also said that Comac was established with the aim of developing China's commercial aviation industry, famous for the C919 aircraft line and is developing the ARJ21 aircraft model, implementing the C929 wide-body aircraft project, with a total expected investment of up to 20 billion USD.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated Comac's achievements in research and development of modern commercial aircraft, contributing to diversifying the market for supplying modern commercial aircraft, contributing to the development of the aviation industry and China's high-tech achievements .

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also congratulated Comac on its initial trade relations with Vietnamese airlines, which is the basis for long-term cooperation.

Vietnam is continuing to improve institutions, mechanisms, and more favorable policies, cutting down procedures to develop the aviation industry, including encouraging the participation of economic sectors, decentralizing and delegating more power to related entities.

For long-term and sustainable cooperation, the Prime Minister welcomed and suggested that Comac cooperate with Vietnamese partners to soon deploy aircraft maintenance and repair services, promote aircraft purchase and lease contracts with airlines, cooperate in human resource training, as well as cooperate in other fields where the company has strengths, with the spirit of cooperation from low to high, from simple to complex, increasingly close, more effective, and mutually beneficial.
