Training and technical transfer of livelihood models of Plan project

QTO - The Department of Agriculture and Environment coordinated with the Plan Quang Tri Office to organize field training for households benefiting from livelihood models of the Project "Supporting agricultural livelihoods adapting to climate change to enhance the role of women in disadvantaged communes" funded by the Korea International Development Agency (KOICA).

The training courses will take place from November 18 to December 2 in Truong Son and Dan Hoa communes. During the training courses, officers from the Provincial Agricultural Extension Center and cooperating businesses will transfer techniques to implement the project's livelihood models, including: techniques for planting and caring for bamboo shoots; techniques for building cages and raising hybrid chickens; and proper mushroom growing methods.

In addition to theoretical guidance, the program also combines field training and hands-on demonstrations to help people easily absorb knowledge and understand technical processes to effectively apply them in practice. In addition to transferring techniques to households directly benefiting from the project, the program also extends guidance to ethnic minorities in the village community who want to learn experiences and techniques in animal husbandry and cultivation.

The training program aims to help households build and manage appropriate models, apply correct techniques in livestock and crop farming, and at the same time serve as a basis for practical implementation and effective monitoring of local livelihood models in the next phase.
