(laichau.gov.vn) This morning (December 1), the Provincial People's Committee held a training conference on the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term. Comrade Dao Thi Lan Anh - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Director of the Department of Home Affairs chaired the conference.

Attending the conference at the commune and ward bridges in the province were members of the Election Steering Committee; Election Committees of communes and wards; Election Committee Support Teams of communes and wards; Secretaries, Deputy Secretaries of the Party Committees, Standing Committees of the People's Councils, leaders of the People's Committees, Standing Committees of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, leaders of the Departments of Culture and Society of communes and wards; Secretaries, Heads of the Front Work Committees, mass organizations, Heads of residential groups, and Village Heads of communes and wards in the province.

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Comrade Dao Thi Lan Anh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Home Affairs emphasized: The election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term took place on Sunday (March 15, 2026), a very special time, held right after the success of the Party Congresses at all levels and the 16th National Congress of the Party; taking place on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the first general election. This is an opportunity to affirm the Party's leadership capacity, the effectiveness of State management and the efficiency of the political system in the context of having just completed the streamlining of the organizational apparatus, merging administrative units, reorganizing local governments according to the 2-level model...

Therefore, the Director of the Department of Home Affairs requested that the comrades assigned to deploy and provide professional guidance closely follow the provisions of the Law on Election of National Assembly Deputies and People's Council Deputies at all levels, and the guiding documents on election work, focusing on deploying contents and professional guidance for organizations in charge of elections. Study, discuss, and agree on solutions to resolve difficulties and problems in the process of preparing and implementing election work, ensuring unity, synchronization, and compliance with the law... Immediately after this Conference, it is requested that the People's Committees and Election Committees of communes and wards continue to deploy and provide professional guidance to members directly participating in and in charge of elections in villages, hamlets, and residential groups so that the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Council Deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term achieves high results, truly becoming a festival for all people.
