On September 17, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the 14th meeting of the State Steering Committee for important national projects and works of the Transport Sector.
At Dak Nong bridge, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi and a number of leaders of departments, branches and localities attended the conference.

Previously, at the 13th meeting held in August 2024, the Prime Minister assigned 42 tasks to ministries, branches and localities. The tasks focused on removing difficulties and obstacles in site clearance, construction materials... for key traffic projects nationwide, especially in the Southern region.
According to the Ministry of Transport, the units have completed 11 tasks on time, 28 tasks are actively deployed, 1 task is not yet due, and 2 tasks are not yet completed on time.
Regarding site clearance, localities have actively implemented and made significant progress. Due to difficulties in verifying the origin of the remaining area, the compensation plan is complicated and has not met the deadline.
Regarding construction materials, the Northern and Central regions basically meet the construction needs. Most projects have sufficient material sources and favorable site clearance conditions and are under construction to meet the requirements.
Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that currently, the country has 40 major projects of the transport sector in three areas: road, railway and air. These projects pass through 48 provinces and cities.
From now until the end of 2025, the workload of these projects is still quite large. Therefore, ministries, branches, localities and related units need to focus resources to remove difficulties, speed up construction progress and ensure project quality.
Recently, storm No. 3 has caused huge losses in human lives and property in the country. Preliminary statistics show that the damage caused by the storm is about 40,000 billion VND. Therefore, the whole country must have solutions to compensate for this damage.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested ministries, branches and localities to speed up disbursement of public investment capital, promote three strategic breakthroughs, including transport infrastructure.
The implementation of key and important transport infrastructure projects must be identified as the task of the entire political system, demonstrating "national love and compatriotism". The whole country must join hands and carry out the project with the spirit and responsibility of "for the people and the country", "once committed, it must be carried out".
