Focus on implementing housing support programs for poor and near-poor households

The Ministry of Construction has just sent a document to 26 localities on the implementation of the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the 2021-2025 period, Project 5: Housing support for poor and near-poor households in poor districts for the 2021-2025 period.

The Ministry of Construction requested localities to speed up disbursement of central budget capital for poor and near-poor households under the Program according to regulations.

Pursuant to Decision No. 90/QD-TTg dated January 18, 2022 of the Prime Minister approving the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the 2021-2025 period, Project 5: Housing support for poor and near-poor households in poor districts for the 2021-2025 period (abbreviated as Project Program 5).

Recently, localities have focused on implementing housing support for poor and near-poor households in the area. However, many localities have not yet met the requirements. To ensure the housing support target under Project Program 5, the Ministry of Construction requests the People's Committees of some localities to focus on directing the implementation of the following key tasks:

Continue to urgently implement support and promote disbursement of central budget capital for poor and near-poor households under the Program according to regulations.

In addition, localities have to report specific contents related to the Program, including: Implementation results, disbursement results of central budget capital allocated to poor and near-poor households under Project Program 5 as of the third quarter (September 30, 2023) according to the form in Appendix V of Circular No. 01/2022/TT-BXD attached. The Ministry of Construction will synthesize and report to the Prime Minister.

The report also shows the results of the allocation of the 2023 central budget capital granted to the districts. The implementation plan and estimated disbursement rate of the central budget capital granted by December 31, 2023.

The Ministry of Construction also noted that localities that have not yet reported on implementation results, disbursement results in the second quarter and have not approved the Housing Support Project for poor and near-poor households in the area should also report to the Ministry for synthesis and reporting to the Prime Minister.
