Tay Ninh promotes the construction of social housing

A social housing project to start construction in 2025

According to the Provincial People's Committee, Tay Ninh has approved the Social Housing Development Project for the period up to 2025, with a vision to 2030, which sets the target of completing 83,100 units.

To implement this, the province has planned 79 land plots with a total area of over 598 hectares for social housing development. The old Long An area alone has 51 plots with an area of nearly 426 hectares; the old Tay Ninh area has 28 plots with an area of over 172 hectares. These locations basically meet the need for social housing development until 2030.

To date, the Provincial People's Committee has approved the investment policy of 32 social housing projects, with a total area of over 241 hectares, expected to provide more than 47,100 apartments in the 2025-2030 period.

Vice Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Lam said that recently, the province has focused on reviewing land funds, planning the construction of social housing in industrial parks, residential areas and urban areas; and issued many mechanisms and policies to attract investment from enterprises. Thanks to that, a number of projects have been implemented, initially solving the housing needs of workers and low-income people.

The province has completed 11 social housing projects with 4,358 units, providing housing for about 35,000 workers. However, the progress of the projects is still behind schedule, failing to meet the increasing demand for housing.

In 2025, Tay Ninh province will start construction and prepare to invest in 7 social housing projects with a total area of nearly 28 hectares, scale of 6,740 apartments. Some major projects include: Social housing in Hau Nghia - Duc Hoa New Urban Area (16 hectares, 2,000 apartments), Phu An Thanh Social Housing (1.71 hectares, 1,100 apartments), Phuong Mai Social Housing Area (1.8 hectares, more than 1,600 apartments), Thanh Thanh Cong Residential Area (6.53 hectares, nearly 1,100 apartments). Some projects have started construction such as Phuong Mai Social Housing and Prodezi Social Housing.

In addition, in 2025, the province plans to approve the investment policy of 14 more projects with a total area of nearly 132 hectares, with a scale of more than 30,000 apartments. Notable examples include: Hanh Phuc social housing (16.62 hectares, 2,190 apartments), social housing in Luong Hoa commune (10 hectares, 2,900 apartments), social housing for workers in Nam Tan Tap Industrial Park (4.63 hectares, 1,500 apartments), and a concentrated social housing area in Long An ward (30 hectares, 7,500 apartments).

New and ongoing projects are expected to contribute to helping Tay Ninh complete the goal of developing nearly 76,500 social housing units in the 2026-2030 period, meeting the increasing housing needs of people and the labor force in the area./.
