TCBS said that revenue from securities brokerage and custody in the first quarter of 2025 reached VND73 billion, up 33% over the same period last year. The growth momentum mainly came from a breakthrough in fund certificate distribution activities, with sales reaching more than VND5,900 billion, 6.7 times higher than in the first quarter of 2024.
TCBS continues to maintain its top position in the market with a stock brokerage market share of 7.49% on the HOSE (ranked 3rd) and 8.24% on the HNX (ranked 2nd).
In the first quarter of the year, on February 27, 2025, TCBS also listed 6 covered warrants (CW) with flexible terms (6 months and 12 months), expanding investment options for investors.
In the margin lending and sales advance segment, in the first quarter of the year, income from interest on margin loans and sales advances of TCBS reached nearly VND 718 billion, up 5% over the previous quarter and up sharply 28% over the same period in 2024, reflecting increased demand for margin loans.
As of March 31, 2025, outstanding loans reached a record level of VND30,472 billion, up 18% compared to the end of the fourth quarter of 2024, helping TCBS continue to lead the margin lending market share. TCBS said that the ratio of outstanding loans to total equity of TCBS is at 1.1 times and there is still much room to expand lending activities.
The investment banking segment recorded net income of VND414 billion in the first quarter of 2025, up 86% and 78% respectively compared to the previous quarter and the same period last year, mainly from issuance advisory transactions implemented in 2024 and completed in early 2025.
Net income from capital sources and bond distribution in the first quarter of 2025 reached VND697 billion, equivalent to the same period last year and up 14% compared to the fourth quarter of 2024. In the first 3 months of the year, TCBS distributed nearly VND18,000 billion of corporate bonds to individual investors. In the context of many fluctuations in the financial market, TCBS's bond distribution activities continue to be a pillar of stable revenue.

As a result, TCBS's pre-tax profit in the first quarter of 2025 recorded VND 1,310 billion, up 40% compared to the fourth quarter of 2024 and 13% over the same period last year.
TCBS's total assets as of March 31, 2025 reached nearly VND 56,330 billion, an increase of 6% compared to the end of 2024. Outstanding short-term loans and interest-bearing payables as of March 31, 2025 reached nearly VND 28,000 billion, an increase of 15% compared to December 31, 2024.
