Accordingly, although it is the low season for international tourism, the number of visitors in July has begun to increase compared to June (+6.8%), in which the European markets in particular increased by 38%. This is a very positive signal showing the effectiveness of the open visa policy and a series of promotional activities of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the past time in 6 European countries (France, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, Czech Republic and Germany).

This result brings the total number of international visitors in the first 7 months of 2025 to more than 12.2 million, an increase of 22.5% over the same period in 2024. The top 10 markets sending visitors include: China, South Korea, Taiwan, USA, Japan, Cambodia, India, Australia, Russia, Malaysia.

Most markets recorded growth, with Asia up 22.4%, driven by major markets in Northeast Asia: China, Japan, and Taiwan. The major market of Korea declined slightly. Nearby markets in Southeast Asia also grew well. Markets in Europe continued to grow very well, especially the Russian market.

The document also updates information on outstanding events in the tourism industry, activities to build policies and mechanisms for tourism development, the situation of business licensing in the tourism sector, promotion activities, world tourism trends, technology application, and digital transformation.
