Promote propaganda work, organize cultural activities well on the occasion of National Day September 2

On the morning of August 7, at the Government Headquarters, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the regular online Government meeting of July with provinces and centrally run cities.

Attending the meeting were Politburo members, Party Central Committee members, Deputy Prime Ministers, Deputy Secretaries of the Government Party Committee; ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, agencies under the Government; Assistant to the General Secretary, leaders of ministries, branches, central agencies; leaders of provinces and centrally run cities.

Reports and opinions at the review meeting on direction and administration work, since the beginning of the year, the Government and the Prime Minister have focused on directing all levels, sectors and localities to grasp the situation, resolutely, flexibly and effectively implement the tasks and solutions set out in all fields.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged and commended ministries, branches and localities for their contributions to socio -economic development in the first 7 months of the year, creating momentum and confidence to successfully complete the goals for the whole year 2025.

In his concluding remarks, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh outlined the highlights of the situation in July: Starting to operate the new apparatus after rearranging administrative boundaries and organizing two-level local governments; continuing to respond to the US tariff policy; stepping up response to natural disasters, epidemics, preventing and combating smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and fake goods.

In the context of many difficulties, challenges, and new developments, the direction and administration work has many innovations and is more drastic. All levels, sectors, and localities closely follow the resolutions, conclusions, and directions of the Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, the General Secretary, the National Assembly, and the Government; closely follow the situation, adapt flexibly, promptly, and effectively; identify key points and focuses for effective direction and administration, saving time and effort.

In particular, the Prime Minister emphasized that the direction and management work has focused on taking care of education, health care, social security, issuing related policies to strengthen primary health care, enhance preventive medicine; exempting and supporting tuition fees and consolidating schools, especially at the border, and immediately handling the consequences of recent storms and floods on schools and medical facilities.

Basically agreeing with the outstanding results that the delegates had agreed on, the Prime Minister further affirmed that we have done a very good job in social security work, not letting anyone go hungry, cold, lack food, lack clothing, or lack basic conditions; completing the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses 5 years earlier than the target of the 13th Congress, especially eliminating temporary houses for people with meritorious services before July 27. The material and spiritual life of the people has improved, the people are happy to welcome the achievements and the development spirit of the country.

The Prime Minister emphasized that taking care of people's material and spiritual life is an important task. Party committees and authorities must always pay attention, do it regularly, and review to see if anyone in the area is lacking food or clothing to provide timely support. The Fatherland Front and organizations must monitor to ensure equality, progress, fairness, civilization, and the people's lives are increasingly improved.

Regarding the situation in the coming time, the Prime Minister stated that it is forecasted that there will be difficulties, challenges, opportunities and advantages intertwined, but there will be more difficulties and challenges.

The regular online Government meeting in July with provinces and centrally run cities focused on discussing the socio-economic situation in July and the first 7 months of 2025, the disbursement of public investment capital, 3 national target programs and a number of other important contents.

Emphasizing that August is a very important month, the Prime Minister requested all levels, sectors and localities to continue to grasp the world, regional and domestic situation to come up with timely, flexible and effective solutions and policy responses, both at the central and local levels, on both macro and micro issues, maximizing the strength of people and businesses, valuing time, intelligence and decisiveness.

The Prime Minister directed 15 groups of key tasks and solutions, including promoting propaganda work, avoiding regrettable mistakes and organizing cultural activities well, organizing music nights and fireworks displays in 34 provinces and cities on the occasion of National Day, September 2, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere and creating motivation, inspiration, contributing to improving the spiritual life of the people.
