Welcoming President Luong Cuong and his wife Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet and the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation at Quatro de Fevereiro International Airport on the Angolan side were Foreign Minister Téte António; Angolan Ambassador to Vietnam Fernando Miguel; Governor of Luanda Luis Manuel da Fonseca; Director of the State Protocol Department of the Angolan Ministry of Foreign Affairs Jorge Pataca. On the Vietnamese side were Vietnamese Ambassador to Angola Duong Chinh Chuc; and officials and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Angola.
President Luong Cuong's visit to Angola this time is an important event, taking place at the right time when the two countries celebrate the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations (November 12, 1975 - November 12, 2025), thereby contributing to promoting cooperation between the two countries in the coming time and opening a new period of development in bilateral relations.

Along with that, the President's visit also demonstrates Vietnam's respect for Angola, affirming the loyal and steadfast relationship formed and nurtured during the period of national liberation struggle, and is an opportunity for the two countries to exchange directions and measures to bring the relationship to a new height in a more practical, effective and sustainable direction, meeting the needs of development and international integration in the new situation of each country.

During the visit, President Luong Cuong is expected to hold high-level talks with President João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço; meet with President of the National Assembly Carolina Cerqueira; work with leaders of the Angolan Popular Liberation Movement; meet with the Vietnamese community in Angola and attend the ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. In particular, the President will deliver an important speech at the Angolan National Assembly, thereby conveying a policy message about a Vietnam that wishes to make greater contributions to world politics , the global economy and human civilization.
