How many days off do students nationwide get for National Day September 2?

Students nationwide may have a four-day holiday for National Day on September 2nd.

According to an announcement from the Ministry of Interior , for the National Day holiday on September 2nd, civil servants, public employees, and workers will have a four-day break, from August 30th (Saturday) to September 2nd (Tuesday). This includes two weekend days and two public holidays.

Agencies and units that do not follow a fixed Saturday and Sunday weekly holiday schedule should arrange their holiday schedules based on their specific programs and plans, in accordance with the law.

For employees who are not civil servants, public employees, or employees of administrative agencies, public service organizations, political organizations, or socio-political organizations, the employer decides on a holiday schedule that suits the actual situation.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training , the holiday schedule for the year follows the regulations of the State. Therefore, students at all levels will also have a 4-day holiday for September 2nd. In cases where schools hold classes on Saturdays (junior high and high schools), they should proactively adjust the holiday schedule based on the specific situation and conditions of each educational institution.

At the university level, some schools have announced specific holiday schedules for September 2nd.

The University of Science, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, and the University of Law Ho Chi Minh City announce their holiday schedule for National Day 2025, which includes two weekend days and two National Day holidays (from Saturday, August 30th to Tuesday, September 2nd).

At Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Ho Chi Minh City Open University, staff, employees, and students will have a two-day holiday for National Day, from Monday, September 1st to Tuesday, September 2nd. Therefore, including the previous Saturday and Sunday, the total number of days off could reach four days.

The schools stated that the training department will arrange make-up classes for the days off to avoid affecting the overall learning progress of the school.
