According to the announcement of the Ministry of Home Affairs , on the occasion of National Day, September 2, officials, civil servants, public employees and workers will have a 4-day holiday, from August 30 (Saturday) to September 2 (Tuesday). Including two weekly days off and two public holidays.
Agencies and units that do not have a fixed weekly Saturday and Sunday off schedule should arrange a suitable holiday schedule in accordance with the law based on the specific program and plan of the unit.
For employees who are not cadres, civil servants, public employees, and employees of administrative agencies, public service agencies, political organizations, and socio-political organizations, the employer decides to choose a holiday plan appropriate to the actual situation.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training , the holiday schedule for the year is according to the State's regulations. Therefore, students at all levels also have 4 days off for the September 2nd holiday. In case the school organizes classes on Saturday (junior high school), the school will proactively adjust the holiday schedule based on the specific situation and conditions of each unit and educational institution.
At the university level, some schools have announced specific holiday schedules for September 2nd.
The University of Natural Sciences, Ho Chi Minh City National University, and Ho Chi Minh City University of Law announce the 2025 National Day holiday schedule including 2 weekend days and 2 National Day holidays (from Saturday, August 30 to Tuesday, September 2).
At Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Ho Chi Minh City Open University, employees, workers and students have 2 days off for National Day, from Monday, September 1 to Tuesday, September 2. Thus, if including Saturday and Sunday of the previous week, the number of days off can be up to 4 days.
The schools said that the training department will arrange make-up classes for the holidays so as not to affect the school's overall learning progress.
