Speaking to reporters of CAND Newspaper on the afternoon of May 30, a source from the authorities in Da Nang said that nearly 4 tons of offal and animal fat of unknown origin at the processing and preparation facility of Nguyen Thi Hong business household (Hoa Khanh Nam ward, Lien Chieu district) were discovered by an inspection team consisting of the Economic Police Department of Da Nang City Police, the Food Safety Management Board of Da Nang City and the Hoa Khanh Nam Ward Police on May 13.
The inspection team made an inventory record and sealed it, handing it over to Ms. Hong for management before deciding on further handling. The results of the wastewater test from the facility showed that the pollution index was many times higher than the permitted standard.
An officer participating in the inspection team said that initially, Ms. Hong stated that she bought the above products from sources of unknown origin on the market, which did not meet food hygiene and safety conditions, so they could not be sold on the market and had to be destroyed. That is why the authorities did not take samples for testing of the above products of intestines, fat, meat, etc. However, because the evidence has not been destroyed, if necessary, samples can still be taken for testing.

Notably, tons of pig intestines at the above facility were contained in 50kg sacks, labeled "Animal feed" bags of Vietnam Joint Stock Company, with the words "For internal use only, not for sale"... It is currently unclear where these packages originated from, and whether they are actually related to Vietnam Joint Stock Company or not.
However, in connection with the case of a former sales employee denouncing Vietnam Joint Stock Company, public opinion in Da Nang and the whole country is very concerned about the origin, provenance, and quality of the products of intestines and meat that are being sealed at the warehouse of Nguyen Thi Hong business household, as well as the number of products that the establishment has put on the market so far; at the same time, they hope that the authorities will investigate and clarify these issues.

As reported by CAND Newspaper, recently, the authorities in Da Nang inspected and discovered 2 establishments processing and trading animal products storing nearly 5 tons of meat, fat, organs, fried fish balls... of unknown origin; finished products were stored on the floor, warehouse floor, not ensuring food hygiene and safety. Of which, there were nearly 4 tons of products at the warehouse of Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong and about 1 ton of products at the frozen warehouse of Tam Kiem Food Company Limited (Nam Bac My An resettlement area, Khue My ward, Ngu Hanh Son district) directed by Mr. Le Duc Anh (born in 1988). According to the police, Tam Kien Food Company Limited operated without being granted a certificate of food safety eligibility by the authorities...
Regarding the accusation of a person claiming to be a former employee accusing CP Vietnam of mixing diseased and rotten pork for sale, at noon on May 30, CP Vietnam Joint Stock Company sent an official dispatch to customers and partners. In this dispatch, Mr. Le Hoang Chuong, Communications Director of CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company, affirmed that the information from the Facebook account "Jonny Lieu" and the Zalo account "Ngan Tech" were fabricated and untrue with the aim of defaming and causing damage to the Company. The company said that it is "urgently coordinating with the authorities to clarify and handle in accordance with regulations to protect the legitimate rights of the company and to strictly handle acts of slander and fabrication"...
The case of Vietnam Joint Stock Company being accused is being investigated and clarified by the Soc Trang Provincial Police Department.
