Bringing a fulfilling and warm Tet holiday to female members.

In line with the policy of caring for disadvantaged women members during the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, Hanoi Women's Union branches at all levels actively organized many practical and meaningful activities, providing timely care, sharing, and encouragement during this time. This is not only material support but also a great source of spiritual encouragement, helping women members feel more confident and warm-hearted in the early days of Spring.

In Thu Lam commune, under the guidance of the Party Committee, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Women's Union of the commune, in coordination with businesses, organized a Tet gift-giving conference for 30 disadvantaged women's union member households in the area. Each household received a gift worth 1,300,000 VND to help them have a more fulfilling and warmer Tet holiday.

In the warm and friendly atmosphere of the conference, delegates attentively inquired about, shared, and listened to the thoughts and aspirations of each household; at the same time, they encouraged the women members to strive to overcome difficulties and continue to improve their lives. For many households, the Tet gifts not only had material value but also contained the affection, sharing, and social responsibility of the local government and businesses, spreading the spirit of compassion and kindness in the community.

In the same spirit, in Dong Anh commune, the Women's Union of the commune presented two Tet gifts from the Hanoi City Women's Union, worth 2,000,000 VND, and gifts from the commune's Women's Union to two female members facing difficult circumstances but always striving to improve their lives. Although the gifts are not of great monetary value, they contain the timely affection and sharing of the Hanoi Women's Union at all levels, contributing to encouraging female members to have more confidence, strive harder, and have a warmer and more fulfilling Tet holiday.

Meanwhile, the Women's Union of Ba Dinh Ward organized visits and presented Tet gifts to two families of disabled women members facing particularly difficult circumstances. At each family's home, representatives of the Union kindly inquired about their health and living conditions, offered encouragement, and presented meaningful gifts from the Women's Union of Ba Dinh Ward, as well as gifts from the Hanoi City Women's Union.

In Nam Phu commune, the Women's Union, in coordination with businesses, organized the distribution of 25 gifts to disadvantaged women members in hamlets 1, 2, and 3. After the program, the delegation visited and encouraged Nguyen Thi Hong, a member of the Women's Union in hamlet 1, who is disabled in both legs, recently underwent surgery, and is in the recovery period, encouraging her to recover quickly and stabilize her life.

It is evident that the series of activities to care for disadvantaged women members during Tet (Lunar New Year) by the Hanoi Women's Union at all levels has been implemented synchronously, practically, and with a strong sense of humanity. This is a vivid testament to the motto "no one is left behind," contributing to strengthening the people's trust in the policies and guidelines of the Party and the State, and enhancing the bond between the Hanoi Women's Union at all levels and its members.

Working together for a sustainable social security system.

Beyond simply caring for female members during the Lunar New Year, leading up to the 2026 Year of the Horse, women in Hanoi are actively participating in charitable and social welfare programs with sustainable significance, targeting vulnerable groups and disadvantaged areas, thereby strongly spreading a spirit of responsibility towards the community. Notably, these activities are organized in diverse and creative forms, suitable to the practical conditions of each locality.

Notably, the Women's Union of Son Dong commune, in collaboration with the Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, participated in the "Spring Volunteer Program 2026" in Chieng Sung commune, Son La province. Within the framework of the program, the Union donated two water heaters and one television to Tong Tai Secondary and Primary School, helping to improve living and learning conditions for teachers and students in this disadvantaged mountainous region.

The "Spring Volunteer Program 2026 - Bringing Warm Tet to Students in Mountainous Areas" is a meaningful activity of the Party Committee and people of Son Dong commune, demonstrating the spirit of sharing and social responsibility towards people in mountainous provinces. Although the gifts are not of great monetary value, they are practical, not only helping students have better conditions for studying and living during the cold winter, but also serving as a source of encouragement for them to continue striving in their studies and towards a brighter future.

Besides charitable activities, Hanoi Women's Union branches at all levels also focus on disseminating information and raising awareness about social security policies, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of female members. Accordingly, the Women's Union of Khuong Dinh ward, in coordination with the People's Committee of the ward, organized a conference to disseminate information on health insurance and social insurance policies to 112 female officials and members in the area.

At the conference, delegates and female members were briefed on basic and practical information regarding their rights and obligations when participating in health insurance and social insurance; clarifying the role and significance of social security policies for each individual, family, and community. This aimed to raise awareness and encourage female cadres and members to actively participate in health insurance and social insurance, proactively taking care of their own and their families' health, and working towards the goal of sustainable social security.

On this occasion, the Women's Union of Khuong Dinh ward coordinated the donation of 15 health insurance cards to female members in difficult circumstances. This is a practical and timely activity, demonstrating the concern and sharing of the Women's Union organization with female members who are still facing many difficulties, helping them have more medical support and feel more secure in life.

Alongside propaganda efforts, many social welfare fundraising models have been effectively implemented by Hanoi Women's Union branches at all levels, attracting the active participation of female officials, members, and the people. In Quang Oai commune, the Women's Union branches of Van Trai, Chu Quyen, and Cao Nhang villages organized a car wash fundraising activity combined with a helmet exchange, raising 4,713,000 VND for social welfare work. The Women's Union branch of Quynh Cao village coordinated a youth football match to raise funds, mobilizing 3,505,000 VND. The Women's Union branch of Cam Da village continued to effectively maintain the "Green House - Turning Waste into Money" model, raising 680,000 VND.

Through a series of practical and meaningful activities, it is evident that women in Hanoi are increasingly asserting their role and responsibility in social welfare work, not only during holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year) but also towards sustainable values. In particular, activities such as caring for families during Tet, volunteering for the community, and disseminating social welfare policies contribute to spreading compassion and kindness, strengthening community cohesion.

The Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026 is approaching in a warm and heartfelt atmosphere. Gifts and sincere words of encouragement have instilled confidence and strength in women's association members, helping each family welcome the new spring peacefully and happily. We believe that with the coordinated efforts of all levels and sectors, and especially the pivotal role of the Hanoi City Women's Union, the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026 will truly be a spring of love, sharing, and hope, thereby contributing to building a more prosperous, civilized, and compassionate Hanoi.
