Thang Binh announced the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units.

According to Resolution 1241, Binh Dinh commune was established on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 15.79 km ² and population of 5,130 people of Binh Dinh Bac commune and the entire natural area of 17.42 km ² and population of 5,090 people of Binh Dinh Nam commune.

After its establishment, Binh Dinh commune had a natural area of 33.21 ^km2 and a population of 10,220 people. Binh Dinh commune borders Binh Phu, Binh Quy, Binh Tri (Thang Binh) communes and Que Son district.

Also according to Resolution 1241, the entire natural area of ^15.55km2 and population of 5,078 people of Binh Chanh commune were merged into Binh Phu commune.

After the merger, Binh Phu commune has a natural area of 43.74 ^km2 and a population of 9,736 people. Binh Phu commune borders the communes of Binh Dinh, Binh Que, Binh Quy, Binh Tri, Binh Trung, Binh Tu (Thang Binh) and 2 districts of Phu Ninh and Tien Phuoc.

After the reorganization, Thang Binh district has 20 commune-level administrative units, including 19 communes and 1 town. Resolution 1241 takes effect from January 1, 2025.

At the conference, the Organizing Committee of Thang Binh District Party Committee announced the decisions of the District Party Executive Committee on the establishment of Binh Dinh and Binh Phu commune Party Committees; appointed the executive committee, standing committee, secretary and deputy secretaries of the commune Party Committees.
