According to Japanese head coach Akira Ijiri, the Vietnam U20 women's team entered this match with a strong and well-trained squad.

Vietnam U20 women's team and Australia U20 women's team both got 6 points after two absolute victories in Group A, both won tickets to the Asian tournament. The competition between the two teams in the final round only has the meaning of determining the top position in the group.
