(kontumtv.vn) – After 5 days of calling, Kon Tum City Youth Union has mobilized more than 10 tons of relief goods for the people of the North who were severely affected by storm Yagi.
Relief goods include rice, dry food, milk, mineral water, clothes, blankets, medicine, etc. This is the heart of the people, businesses, political and social organizations, and union members and youth in Kon Tum city; demonstrating the tradition of "the rich help the poor" of the Vietnamese people; promptly supporting and encouraging people in flood-hit areas to overcome difficulties, painful losses, and soon stabilize their lives.
Currently, the Kon Tum City Youth Volunteer Team is urgently arranging and classifying goods to ensure the relief work is completed quickly. Ms. Do Thi Hong Hanh - Secretary of the Kon Tum City Youth Union said: "In fact, for the City Youth Union unit, firstly through the mass media, secondly through the units and district unions nationwide, we have a zalo group of secretaries of the national youth organizations. At the same time, we contact each other to grasp the situation of the localities, discuss with the localities and what necessities the people need so that there is no waste."
On September 15, the first relief truck mobilized by the Kon Tum Youth Union departed for Bac Kan province. It is expected that the receipt of goods to support people in flood-hit areas will continue until September 17./.
