The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has just signed and issued a Decision on the establishment of the Provincial Private Economic Development Steering Committee.

The province identifies the private economy as an important driving force and pioneering force to promote growth.

The Steering Committee is responsible for assisting the Provincial People's Committee in directing and coordinating activities between departments, branches, sectors and localities in the process of implementing the Party and State's guidelines, policies and laws on private economic development. Advising the Provincial People's Committee on issuing provincial directives to implement legal provisions, policies, mechanisms, programs and plans for private economic development approved by the Prime Minister and ministries and sectors.

Currently, the province has about 15,600 enterprises. The Provincial People's Committee sets a target of 20,000 enterprises operating in the economy by 2030, reaching a rate of 20 enterprises operating/1,000 people; with enterprises participating in the global value chain. The average growth rate of the private economy is about 10-12%/year, higher than the growth rate of the economy; the private economy contributes about 55-58% of GRDP. By 2045, the province strives to have at least 30,000 enterprises operating in the economy; with 3 enterprises participating in the global value chain. The private economy contributes over 60% of GRDP.
