Ho Chi Minh City cooperates with US AMD Corporation to develop high technology and artificial intelligence

The cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and AMD Corporation (USA) will promote investment in research and development (R&D), high-tech human resource training and digital transformation initiatives in Ho Chi Minh City.

On June 12, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) to enhance the city's high-tech and artificial intelligence (AI) ecosystem.

Attending the event were Party Central Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha; Huynh Thanh Dat, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission; Nguyen Van Duoc, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

Promoted by SunEdu InternationalEducation Joint Stock Company (SunEdu), a strategic partner of AMD Corporation in Vietnam, the memorandum of understanding provides a comprehensive cooperation framework to develop programs to promote digital transformation and smart urban development.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Vo Van Hoan said that the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between Ho Chi Minh City and AMD Corporation (USA) is very important.

According to the content of the Memorandum of Understanding, Ho Chi Minh City and AMD Group will coordinate to implement many specific cooperation programs.

In particular, the two sides will coordinate to organize specialized training courses on artificial intelligence, microchip design and semiconductor technology for students, lecturers and technology experts in the city.

Research on establishing AMD Corporation's Research and Development (R&D) Center in Ho Chi Minh City; research on promoting the application of AMD's advanced technologies in areas such as education, healthcare, data centers and digital infrastructure; consulting on pilot models of policies to promote innovation and digital transformation.
