Kinhtedothi - The People's Committee of Vinh Yen city ( Vinh Phuc province) has set out 15 groups of tasks, specific solutions and 20 socio-economic development targets for 2025; in which, striving for an economic growth rate of 10.7%.

On the afternoon of January 16, Vinh Yen city, Vinh Phuc province met and provided information on the socio-economic situation in 2024 to reporters from news agencies and newspapers residing in the area.

Informing reporters, Mr. Dao Van Quyet, Vice Chairman of Vinh Yen City People's Committee, said that in 2024, the city's socio-economic situation had stable developments with 17/20 socio-economic development targets achieved and exceeded the set targets.

Specifically, the total production value in 2024 increased by 9.3% compared to 2023; budget revenue reached over VND 2,825 billion; budget expenditure reached VND 3,136 billion; disbursement of public investment capital reached 100% of the adjusted plan; the poverty rate continued to decrease, to below 0.3%; the rate of trained workers reached over 80%; 35/36 schools met national standards; the rate of domestic solid waste treated reached over 95%...

“Entering 2025, it is forecasted that some areas such as site clearance compensation and land use rights auctions will continue to face difficulties and obstacles, which may directly affect the progress of project implementation, the ability to disburse public investment capital, and the city's budget collection from land use sources. Therefore, the city has identified this as a bottleneck that needs to be focused on and determined to remove to promote socio-economic development,” said Mr. Dao Van Quyet.

To overcome difficulties and challenges, strive to complete and exceed socio-economic development targets for 2025, Vinh Yen City People's Committee has set out 15 groups of tasks, specific solutions and 20 socio-economic development targets for 2025.

In particular, strive to achieve a number of key targets such as: economic growth rate of 10.7%; budget revenue of over VND 2,715 billion; budget expenditure of over VND 1,957 billion; poverty rate of under 0.5%; trained labor rate of over 82%; national standard school rate of 100%; treated domestic solid waste rate of 97%; treated domestic wastewater rate of 60%; and the rate of grassroots authorities completing their tasks well or better of 90%.
