The autobiography Flowers Bloom on the Top of the Slope was published by the Literature Publishing House, 191 pages long. In addition to the introduction, the work consists of 3 chapters, the journey of a person who dares to look straight at fate, dares to struggle in the midst of adversity to find himself as well as convey positive energy to the community: No matter how steep life is, as long as the heart constantly looks towards the light, flowers will still bloom. Readers do not need to read the chapters in order but can read any chapter, any article to feel a true slice of the author's life.

In Chapter 1: The Unlucky Jackpot, readers are led into the author's troubled childhood and youth. It is the story of a child born without a birth certificate, suffering from asthma, inferiority complex and many injustices. Each page written in this chapter is like a true slice of a "downhill" life. When he reached the age to register for military service, Nguyen Duy Dong declared that he was in good health and eager to join the army, but his old illness relapsed and the local authorities accused him of deliberately resisting military service. During his days in the lecture hall, he suffered from hepatitis, and although he was cured, his friends still avoided him. Working in Dong Nai, his circumstances were so difficult that he could not hold a proper wedding. Back home, he told his relatives that he had gotten married in the South, and when he went to the South to report to the agency, he said he had gotten married in the North.

"Lying is not because of lack of self-respect, but because of being too poor, I had to lie to avoid embarrassment" - author Nguyen Duy Dong shared.

In Chapter 2: Positive energy to lift life through the hardships of life, readers encounter another Nguyen Duy Dong: resilient, persistent and refusing to give up. From a poor boy to a grown man, he constantly strives to support his family, strives to study, teach, learn, and adapt to the changing times. From here, he reaps many "sweet fruits" - worthy achievements for his persistent journey of overcoming difficulties.

Chapter 3: Flowers bloom on the slope closes the autobiography with the colors of peace and happiness. In his old age, author Nguyen Duy Dong looks back on his life journey with a peaceful gaze: a warm family, children and grandchildren gathered together, a "blossoming" writing career. As the author himself once shared: "This autobiography is not only a story about an unusual life but also a sharing of a philosophy of life that has lifted me up from the depths of adversity."
