The 4th Provincial Press Award in 2026 aims to honor and award authors and groups of authors with excellent press works, actively contributing to the cause of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense - security, foreign affairs, and building the political system of the province. Widely communicate achievements and results in implementing the province's development goals, actively contributing to the cause of building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland. Create conditions for collectives and individuals working in the field of journalism to exchange professional and technical experiences, contributing to improving the quality and effectiveness of information and press activities in the province.
Authors/groups of authors participating in the Award are Vietnamese citizens living and working in the province. Professional and non-professional journalists whose press works about the province are published or broadcast on newspapers, radio, and magazines licensed by competent authorities; Do not violate regulations on professional ethics of Vietnamese journalists, do not violate the Press Law and other provisions of law.
Works/series of works (hereinafter referred to as works) participating in the Award must be published and broadcast on all types of press including: print newspapers, electronic newspapers, radio and television newspapers of the province or the Central Government. Each author or group of authors can only submit a maximum of 2 works to the Award for all types of press. In particular, authors who are cameramen or technicians can participate in a maximum of 4 works.
Types and genres of journalism considered for awards include: Printed newspapers; electronic newspapers; radio newspapers; television newspapers; press photos. Genres: Reflective articles, interviews, notes, editorials, comments, special articles, reports, investigative reports, memoirs, documentaries, radio and television programs, exchanges, and discussions. Fictional works (such as: skits, literary stories, etc.) will not be considered. Works considered for awards must ensure that there are no copyright disputes. In addition, there are separate regulations for each type of journalism work, such as: Printed newspapers, each work is an article or a series of articles (no more than 03 issues) by the same author or group of authors under the same name.
For radio: Each work is an article or a series of articles on a topic, an event or an object, broadcast in one or more installments (no more than 03 installments); sound and character voices are clear; sound and music ensure quality; work duration does not exceed 30 minutes.
For television newspapers: Each work is an article or a series of articles on a topic, an event or an object broadcast in one or more installments (no more than 03 installments); techniques and images must meet quality requirements; the duration of the work must not exceed 30 minutes.
For electronic newspapers: It is a first-time creative work, written specifically for electronic newspapers (not considering works taken from printed newspapers); demonstrating the characteristics of electronic newspapers. Each work is an article or a series of articles (no more than 03 issues) by the same author or group of authors under the same name, reflecting on the same event, the same topic and carried out in a journalism genre.
For press photos: Only photo groups and photo reports will be considered. Photo works must be in color or black and white; each photo group or photo report must have 5 or more photos published in the same issue of a newspaper, magazine, online newspaper or at the same time of publication. Collages or photos that have been photoshopped will not be considered.
The structure, number of awards and award levels include 50 awards for 04 types of awards with 05 types of journalism including: Print newspapers, electronic newspapers, radio newspapers, television newspapers and press photos. Each work is only considered for an award in 1 type of journalism.
Prize level: specifically, prize A: 9,000,000 VND/prize; prize B: 7,000,000 VND/prize; prize C: 5,000,000 VND/prize; consolation prize: 3,000,000 VND/prize.
Time to receive works (according to the postmark ). For works of Cao Bang provincial press agencies: Authors and groups of authors send their works to the press agency (where they work) to conduct the selection round no later than March 31, 2026. After the selection, the press agencies send the works participating in the Award to the Provincial Press Award Council (through the Cao Bang Journalists Association) no later than April 10, 2026.
For works of central press agencies and other local media agencies, submit works to the Provincial Press Awards Council (through the Cao Bang Journalists Association) no later than April 10, 2026.
