What is the Fatherland Front?

Many people know that the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) is an important and indispensable part of the political system of our country. However, not everyone knows the great value of this organization in the cause of building, defending and protecting the Fatherland of the nation throughout the history of the Vietnamese revolution.

With the deep participation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in the area, the face of Vinh Phuc's countryside is increasingly improving through practical and meaningful programs such as new rural construction.

Only 10 months after the Communist Party of Vietnam was founded, the Vietnam Fatherland Front officially appeared (under many different forms and names). Since then, in any period of the Vietnamese Revolution, this organization has never been absent. This detail is enough to show the importance of the Fatherland Front to the survival and development of our country.

In the revolutionary career of our nation, at any stage, ups and downs, when there is no government or when it has won power, the Fatherland Front is always an indispensable strategic member of the political system.

When the Party was still operating secretly, the Vietnam Fatherland Front organized the implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies, mobilized, enlightened, and gathered people to fight to overthrow the enemy government and take power into the hands of the people.

After gaining power, the Fatherland Front mobilized all classes of people to unite and fight, defeat the invading forces to protect the young government, protect independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, restore and develop the economy and culture, and gradually build the material and technical foundations of socialism.

In general, if there is no Vietnam Fatherland Front in the political system, the country will no longer have an overall political force, thereby not being able to fully promote the resources of the people.

This, on the one hand, weakens the leadership role of the Party and the management role of the State; there is no mechanism to control bureaucratic tendencies, abuse of power and other negative aspects in the State apparatus; limits the promotion of people's mastery and causes many other difficulties for the operation of the political system.

On the other hand, in the current conditions, facing the complex and sensitive political and social relations of organizations, classes, ethnicities and religions, if we simply resolve them by the State's institutions and laws without the measures of mobilization, persuasion, reconciliation, propaganda and consultation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the effectiveness of rallying the people will not be high, and the democratic regime will turn into an authoritarian, voluntaristic regime, lacking objectivity, fairness, democracy and civilization...

Therefore, the existence, role and position of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the Vietnamese political system, viewed from a scientific perspective and social structural relations, is an objective necessity, and the value of the Vietnam Fatherland Front is immeasurable.

In the current period of innovation, multilateralism and global integration, the Front needs to continue and promote its valuable traditions and experiences in history to maximize the spirit of national solidarity, thereby arousing endogenous resources, making an important contribution to fulfilling the mission of bringing our country on par with developed countries in the world.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front, as a broad political alliance, must coordinate the strength of member organizations and actively propagate and mobilize people to clearly understand the Party's guidelines, policies, and resolutions.

The Front Committees at all levels need to regularly organize for the people to study and research the Party's policies and resolutions. Through forms such as disseminating documents, through the Front's media system, through research competitions, people's forums...

In the process of mobilizing people to implement the Party's guidelines, policies and resolutions, through the opinions of the masses, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations promptly propose to the Party difficulties and problems so that the Party can have timely solutions and directions to improve the effectiveness in people's practical lives.

Through the implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies in the field of social life, the Party draws valuable experiences in making specific decisions in the process of national development.

Through the close relationship between the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations with the Party, the connection between the Party and the people, and between the people and the Party is consolidated and developed; the Party's strength is enhanced.

Thanks to that, the people will increasingly be deeply enlightened about socialism, believe in the Party's leadership; enthusiastically participate in revolutionary movements, patriotic emulation, and successfully carry out the cause of building and firmly defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.
