Three more naturalized Malaysian players were removed from the list.

The Malaysian Football League (MFL) has banned Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT)'s Joao Figueiredo, Jon Irazabal and Hector Hevel from participating in any Malaysia League tournament.

Joao Figueiredo is banned from playing until further notice from FIFA.

On the afternoon of September 29, MFL announced: "Based on FIFA's decision, MFL confirms that three players of Johor Darul Ta'zim Club, including Joao Figueiredo, Jon Irazabal and Hector Hevel, will not be allowed to participate in any tournaments in the Malaysia League during the suspension period."

The league’s governing body also stressed that any further action will depend on the outcome of the appeal filed by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) to FIFA. Only when FIFA makes a final decision will MFL consider the next steps.

The loss of three key players at the same time is considered a heavy blow to JDT's ambitions. The rich Malaysian team aims to continue to dominate the domestic arena, while also making a mark in the AFC Champions League. The ban has significantly disrupted coach Esteban Solari's squad at the beginning of the season.

Previously, the Argentine Football Association (AFA) was said to have sent an official notice asking the Velez Sarsfield club to stop using Imanol Machuca.
