More Southern universities announce admission floor scores for 2024

The University of Economics and Law, Ho Chi Minh City National University, announced that the threshold to ensure input quality (the score for receiving application documents for admission) for the 2024 regular university training program is 21 points (applied to method 2, method 3 of all majors and admission combinations).

This is the total score of 3 subjects/exams (without coefficient) in the admission subject group that the candidate achieved in the 2024 high school graduation exam.

The calculation of priority points by subject and region is carried out according to the current Admission Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET).

Van Hien University has a minimum score for the admission method based on high school graduation exam scores ranging from 15-16 for all majors. This score includes regional and target priority points and is calculated by the total score of the 3-subject combination for each major.

For the nursing major, the school will announce the minimum score after the Ministry of Education and Training announces the threshold to ensure input quality.

Along with that, the school announced the benchmark score for the high school transcript admission method. The benchmark score for high school transcript admission based on the average score of the combination of 3 subjects plus regional priority points is from 18 points or higher; the average score of the whole year of grade 12 plus regional priority points is from 6.0 points or higher.

For Nursing, the average score of all subject groups must be from 19.5 points and the 12th grade academic performance must be good or higher.

For the method of considering according to the 2024 capacity assessment test scores of Ho Chi Minh City National University, the test score plus priority points must be from 600 points (except for vocal music and piano majors).

Hong Bang International University (HIU) sets a minimum score of 15 points for all majors: Economics - Administration; International Languages and Cultures; Social Sciences; Technology - Engineering; Educational Sciences. This score includes regional and subject priority points and is calculated by the total score of the 3-subject combination for each major.

As for 10 majors in the health group, the school will announce after the Ministry of Education and Training announces the quality assurance threshold.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) also set a score threshold ranging from 16-19 points depending on the major, while the Health Science group will apply the score threshold prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Specifically, information technology, multimedia communications, and marketing are the three majors with the highest admission floor score based on high school graduation exam scores, with 19 points.

Next are automotive engineering technology, business administration, digital marketing, logistics and supply chain management, and public relations with 18 points.

Some other majors with a floor score of 17 points are electric car technology, computer science, graphic design, finance - banking, accounting, veterinary medicine.

All other majors have a minimum admission score of 16 points.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF) announced the admission score of 16-19 points.

Accordingly, the two majors with the highest admission score of 19 are logistics and supply chain management, international business. The majors of international law, communication technology, marketing, multimedia communication, and international relations have an admission score of 18.

According to the school representative, the threshold score to ensure input quality in 2024 increased slightly by 1 point compared to 2023. The majors with increased application scores are majors that attract many candidates such as logistics and supply chain management, marketing, digital marketing, multimedia communications, and English.

Based on the scores announced by the school, candidates wishing to apply for admission to the school by taking the high school graduation exam can consider registering and adjusting their wishes online on the Ministry of Education and Training's Admissions Portal before 5:00 p.m. on July 30.
