Intersection with National Highway 12C on Bai Vot-Ham Nghi expressway.
Specifically, 13 expressway projects invested by the State will collect tolls within 7 years from the time they are put into operation, including: Bai Vot-Ham Nghi, Ham Nghi-Vung Ang, Vung Ang-Bung, Bung-Van Ninh, Van Ninh-Cam Lo, Hoa Lien-Tuy Loan, Quang Ngai-Hoai Nhon, Hoai Nhon-Quy Nhon, Quy Nhon-Chi Thanh, Chi Thanh-Van Phong, Van Phong-Nha Trang, Can Tho- Hau Giang and Hau Giang-Ca Mau.
Of these, 4 projects (Quang Ngai-Hoai Nhon, Chi Thanh-Van Phong, Can Tho-Hau Giang, Hau Giang -Ca Mau ) are under construction and are expected to be completed by the end of this year; the remaining sections have been opened to traffic. It is expected that after deducting the organization costs, the state budget will collect about 2,500 billion VND per year from toll collection on the 13 expressways mentioned above.
In addition, the Ministry of Construction also approved the exploitation plan for 5 North-South expressway projects phase 1 invested with state budget capital, expected to start collecting tolls from January 2026. These sections include: Mai Son-National Highway 45, National Highway 45-Nghi Son, Nghi Son-Dien Chau, Vinh Hao-Phan Thiet and Phan Thiet-Dau Giay.
The Vietnam Road Administration proposed two toll rates: VND1,300/km for standard vehicles on expressways that fully meet the conditions (4 lanes, with continuous emergency lanes) and VND900/km for routes that do not fully meet the conditions (4 lanes, with intermittent emergency lanes).
After 7 years of toll collection, the management agency will calculate the next exploitation and management plan. The Road Law passed by the National Assembly on June 27, 2024 has added regulations on toll collection for vehicles traveling on expressways invested by the State.
