A daring theft occurred in Nevada (USA) when a car containing goods worth up to 15 million USD , including Apple and AMD products, was stolen from a parking lot.
On July 3, a vehicle owned by Ceva Logistics was shipped from Sacramento, California, to Sierra Airfreight Express in Reno. After the shipment was completed, the trailer was left in an after-hours parking lot. The lot was unstaffed and unfenced. A suspect tractor entered the lot, attached itself to the trailer, and drove away.
The trailer reportedly contained AMD products, along with some Apple devices, but details about the Apple products have not been made public.
This isn’t the first time Apple has been involved in theft. These losses typically occur at Apple Stores or during deliveries. But a delivery truck being stolen from a parking lot is unprecedented.
This incident will certainly make Apple and AMD review their shipping processes as well as cooperate with logistics partners in the future to ensure the safety of their goods.
