Currently, Bac Ninh owns 1,589 relics, including 5 special national relics, 206 national relics, 466 provincial relics; 19 artifacts and groups of artifacts recognized as National Treasures. Bac Ninh also has 4 heritages recognized by UNESCO including: Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs, Ca Tru, Huu Chap tug of war rituals and games, Vietnamese Mother Goddess worship; 12 intangible cultural heritages included in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List. In addition, there are 599 traditional festivals held annually by communities; 120 craft villages, including 62 traditional craft villages; preserving and conserving a variety of folk performing arts such as: Tuong, Cheo, Trong Quan, water puppetry, folk games...
The souvenir products will be selected for design, inspired by typical cultural heritages of Bac Ninh, imbued with traditional identity, with profound aesthetic value and cultural significance, while meeting the tastes of modern tourists.
Heritage tourism souvenirs play an important role in promoting and developing heritage values; enhancing pride and awareness of heritage conservation in the local community and opening up new development directions for craft villages, artisans and local manual labor force. This is also a shift in the province's tourism development thinking, from simply exploiting heritage to enriching heritage values, aiming to build Bac Ninh into an attractive cultural destination in the Red River Delta.
