On December 18, in Hanoi, the Emulation Cluster of socio- political organizations and federation organizations held a Conference to summarize emulation and reward work in 2024 and sign an emulation covenant in 2025. Mr. Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee attended and delivered a speech at the Conference.
The Summary Report of the Emulation Cluster's Activities stated that in 2024, the member organizations of the Emulation Cluster closely followed the political tasks of their organizations, the guidance of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, proactively developed and implemented the 2024 Plan; responded to the implementation of the annual Program of coordination and unification of action of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee with specific contents and actions, contributing to the successful implementation of the goal of maintaining political stability, security - national defense, socio -economic development of the country and consolidating the great national unity bloc.
Speaking at the Conference, Chairman Do Van Chien acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved in 2024 by the organizations in the Emulation Cluster; at the same time, expressed his agreement with the directions and contents set out in 2025 mentioned in the report.
Reviewing the country's outstanding results in 2024, Chairman Do Van Chien emphasized that the most comprehensive achievement was that at the 8th Session, the 15th National Assembly assessed that our country had completed 15/15 socio-economic development targets in 2024. That was the effort of the entire Party, the entire army, and the entire people, including the positive contributions of the cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers of agencies and units in the Emulation Cluster of socio-political organizations and federation organizations.
Also according to Chairman Do Van Chien, inheriting the success of completing 5,000 Great Solidarity houses for poor households in Dien Bien province, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Chairman of the Central Emulation and Reward Council, coordinated with the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee to launch the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025", striving to eliminate 370,000 temporary and dilapidated houses for the poor and people in difficult circumstances in 2025.
Another highlight that Chairman Do Van Chien wanted to mention is that with the motto "thinking honestly, speaking honestly, doing honestly, people benefiting honestly", the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations, including 9 organizations in the Emulation Cluster, have had a new approach in social mobilization, supporting compatriots affected by storm No. 3 (Yagi), with the mobilized amount of VND 2,522.9 billion and VND 2,040 billion allocated. The remaining amount will continue to be allocated according to the survey of the actual situation in the damaged localities.
“The very new point is that we have received practical attention from friends and international organizations. The amount of support has gone down in history, we have never mobilized such a large amount of money. This comes from three reasons: First is the tradition of “loving others as you love yourself”, “humanity and affection” of the Vietnamese people which is promoted when the country is hit by natural disasters, when the people are in difficulty; second is the close and drastic direction of the Politburo, the Secretariat, headed by General Secretary To Lam; third is the new approach when the Vietnam Fatherland Front publicly and transparently discloses the support resources from agencies, organizations, individuals and international friends, this has created trust among the people and followed the motto: think honestly, speak honestly, do honestly, the people benefit honestly”, Chairman Do Van Chien clearly stated.
Referring to the impressions in 2024 regarding the emulation response of the members in the Cluster, Chairman Do Van Chien mentioned the success of the peak emulation campaign to complete the 500kV line from Quang Trach (Quang Binh) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen) launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and completed after 7 months of launching with more than 1,000 km.
Referring to the next impressive point, which is the joint support for compatriots affected by storm No. 3, Chairman Do Van Chien quoted the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at the launching ceremony: "No matter how fierce the storm is, it will pass, only comradeship and compatriotism will remain forever along with the cultural traditions, humanity and affection of the Vietnamese people"; at the same time, emphasizing that overcoming the difficulties caused by natural disasters and floods is thanks to the 6 pillars of Vietnam mentioned by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in the program "Vietnam's Pillar" - a live television program held on September 15, 2024: First is the pillar of the spirit of great national unity; Second, we have the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Party has no other goal than to bring independence, freedom to the nation and a prosperous and happy life for the people; The third fulcrum is the heroic, civilized, and cultured historical and cultural tradition of the nation, the spirit of mutual love and support, "love others as you love yourself", "the whole leaf covers the torn leaf, the torn leaf covers the more torn leaf", "the gourd, please love the squash..."; The fourth fulcrum is the people, the people make history, strength originates from the people, "it is a hundred times easier without the people, it is ten thousand times more difficult, it can be done with the people"; The fifth fulcrum is the army and the police - "Whenever needed, when difficult, there is the army and the police", "Our army comes from the people, fights for the people", "Our police forget themselves for the country, serves the people"; The sixth fulcrum is the spirit of self-reliance and self-strengthening of our nation, of each person when facing difficulties and challenges, the more pressure, the more effort, strive to rise up, overcome one's own limits, with the spirit of "turning nothing into something, turning difficult into easy, turning the impossible into possible".
Referring to the direction and tasks of the Emulation Cluster in 2025, Chairman Do Van Chien emphasized that at this time, the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army, under the close and drastic direction of the Politburo and the Secretariat, headed by General Secretary To Lam, are summarizing the implementation of streamlining the apparatus according to Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW in the spirit of "refined, compact, strong, effective, efficient, and effective". In that spirit, the Emulation Cluster must take the lead in propagating and mobilizing cadres, civil servants, and public employees to agree, unite, and successfully implement this content.
In addition, the Emulation Cluster needs to resolutely implement the program "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025" to practically celebrate the country's major holidays.
Emphasizing that 2025 is the year of holding Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, Chairman Do Van Chien suggested that members of the Emulation Cluster need to organize for union members to participate and contribute their enthusiastic, responsible, practical opinions, originating from real life, to the content of the draft documents submitted to the Congress so that Party committees at all levels can absorb and include them in the documents for implementation.
"Every organization must strive, every commune must strive, every district must strive, every province must strive, every organization and individual must strive for the country to strive", Chairman Do Van Chien suggested and said that the Emulation Cluster needs to innovate its way of working, must demonstrate the spirit of emulation from the grassroots, must unite, gather and arouse the spirit of pride from each member of its organization.
Chairman Do Van Chien said that, in the spirit of the Politburo and the Secretariat, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Party Committee will soon be established, including socio-political organizations and mass organizations assigned tasks by the Party and the State. By establishing this organization, we will have new ways to carry out tasks more effectively and practically, meeting practical requirements and the expectations of the Party, the State and the people.
At the Conference, the Emulation Cluster of socio-political organizations and federated organizations honored the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations as the Head of the Emulation Cluster in 2025; the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union as the Deputy Head of the Emulation Cluster in 2025.
