Ho Chi Minh City 10th grade exam: 2 candidates marked strange characters on the answer sheet

TPO - While taking the Literature exam for 10th grade entrance on the morning of June 6, there were some cases where candidates used two colors of ink or marked strange symbols on the answer sheet.

On the afternoon of June 6, the Departmentof Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City informed that in the Literature exam, there were 76,154 candidates taking the exam, and 76,160 candidates taking the Foreign Language exam, reaching a rate of over 99%.

During the morning exam, a number of incidents were recorded. At the Tran Hung Dao Secondary School exam site (District 12), a candidate who used two colors of ink was still allowed to continue taking the exam by the invigilator after a report was made and the candidate was warned.

Another candidate at Nguyen An Khuong Secondary School (Hoc Mon District) had to move to a reserve exam room due to poor health.

At the Le Van Tam Secondary School (Binh Thanh District) exam site, a candidate vomited and had to go to the medical room and was instructed to continue taking the exam if he was in good health. Another case at Do Van Day Secondary School (Hoc Mon District) had two candidates mark strange characters on the exam paper and an irregular report was made.

Another situation recorded by the press was that a female supervisor at the exam site of Ngo Chi Quoc Secondary School (Thu Duc City) stepped off the podium onto the floor, suffered severe pain, and had to go to the emergency room.

The examination board quickly sent another invigilator to assist and ensure the examination was conducted. Immediately afterwards, the examination site transferred the invigilator to the hospital for emergency treatment. The police and examination room supervisors accompanied him, because the exam papers had already been opened.

Tomorrow morning (July 7), candidates will take the Math exam. The exam marking period is expected to last from June 8 to June 25. The exam scores, benchmark scores and review time will be announced later by the Department of Education and Training, based on the progress of marking and processing of actual results.
