Loc Ha Town held a ceremony to receive the certificate of historical relic ranking of Nguyen Duc Khue Church

On the morning of August 16, 2024, Loc Ha town, Loc Ha district held a ceremony to receive the certificate of ranking the Nguyen Duc Khue Church as a provincial historical relic. Attending the ceremony were comrade Nguyen Viet Truong, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, leaders of the People's Council and People's Committee of Loc Ha district, along with many officials, people and descendants of the Nguyen Van family.

The Nguyen Van family, Thach Bang commune, now Loc Ha town, originated from the lineage of Cuong Quoc Cong Nguyen Xi. Up to now, the Nguyen Van family has a history of nearly 300 years of formation and development with 13 generations of succession, becoming one of the large families and having many contributions to the construction of the homeland and the country. Throughout the history of the nation, the family has given birth to many outstanding children, the most typical of which is Mr. Nguyen Duc Khue, who was an official under the Le Hien Tong dynasty, holding the position of Deputy Envoy of Vinh Khang district, then was appointed to the position of Huyen Thua of Vinh Khang district, Tra Lan prefecture, Nghe An province. In recognition of his contributions to the country, the Le dynasty granted him titles and salaries, and the Nguyen dynasty appointed him as Trung Dang Than and he was worshiped by the people as the village's tutelary god, and he was worshiped together with the natural gods in Xuan Khanh communal house.

At the Nguyen Duc Khue church relic, many valuable documents and artifacts are preserved such as royal decrees, memorial tablets, large inscriptions, wooden artifacts of historical, cultural and artistic value, contributing to the research of a historical period of the country and the history of the formation of coastal families in Ha Tinh .

At the reception ceremony, the People's Committee of Loc Ha district requested the local government and the Relic Management Board to have a plan to effectively manage, preserve and promote the value of the relic. At the same time, the People's Committee of the district gave the QR code to the Relic Management Board to promote and introduce the historical and cultural values of the relic to all classes of people, especially the young generation, students, and pupils to arouse pride in the historical and cultural traditions, contributing to building an increasingly rich and civilized homeland.

With the cultural and historical values of the relic and historical figure Nguyen Duc Khue, on February 16, 2024, the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province decided to rank Nguyen Duc Khue Church as a provincial-level historical relic./.
