Children in the capital are equipped with escape skills in case of fire or explosion.

According to Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union, Chairman of the Hanoi City Council of Young Pioneers Dao Duc Viet, the Hanoi City Children's Forum is an annual activity for children in the capital to express their wishes, desires, suggestions and opinions on issues that concern them to leaders and experts for answers, support and sharing. Thereby helping to improve the effectiveness of child care,education and protection and promote children's right to participate.

After 3 weeks of collecting opinions directly at the Youth Unions, the City Youth Union Council received more than 1,500 opinions from children, compiled from the Youth Union Councils of 30 districts, towns and the Hanoi Youth Union Officers Club.

The content of the opinions focused on the following groups of issues: communication, polite and civilized behavior in schools, public places and social networking environments; improving skills to prevent and combat accidents and injuries; issues related to studying, participating in activities at the Youth Union and residential areas; preventing and combating violence and child abuse; protecting children in the online environment.

At the forum, children in the capital raised questions and expressed their opinions on preventing and combating accidents and injuries, escape skills, survival in harsh conditions; how to convince parents to agree and support their passion; solutions to limit and overcome drowning accidents when summer comes; sex education for children; communication, civilized behavior...

After being answered, consulted and shared by delegates and experts, the children became aware of the need to equip themselves with legal knowledge; became bolder and more confident in protecting themselves; and had knowledge and skills to deal with the issue of preventing and combating violence and abuse in schools.

Within the framework of the program, children were trained in accident prevention and first aid skills in case of accidents and injuries; shared knowledge and skills in handling accident situations; escape skills in case of fire, drowning and how to use electricity safely and economically.

Concluding the forum, Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union, Chairman of the Hanoi City Youth Union Council Dao Duc Viet said that based on receiving 16 opinions from children delegates at the forum, the Organizing Committee will synthesize their recommendations and proposals to propose relevant departments, branches and organizations to coordinate in resolving them.
