In the next 24 hours, the area from Quang Tri to Khanh Hoa and the South is forecast to continue to have scattered showers and thunderstorms; total rainfall is generally 15-30mm, locally over 70mm. Rainfall will mainly be concentrated in the afternoon and evening, especially in the South. Some places may have heavy rain, reaching over 50mm in 6 hours.

In the Northern Delta region, on the morning of October 16, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with rainfall ranging from 10-30mm, and over 70mm in some places. Thunderstorms may include tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind.

The meteorological agency warned that localized heavy rains could cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides in mountainous areas and flooding in low-lying areas and urban areas. People living in mountainous areas, along streams and rivers should be on guard against the risk of landslides and flash floods that can occur suddenly.

At sea, on the day and night of October 16, the sea area from Quang Tri to Ca Mau, from Ca Mau to An Giang , the Gulf of Thailand and the southern part of the East Sea (including the Truong Sa sea area) will have scattered showers and thunderstorms.
