Subjects allowed to clear customs at the Hoanh Mo (Vietnam) - Dong Trung (China) border gate include citizens of Vietnam and China (with passports, entry and exit passes, border area entry and exit passes). Customs clearance time is from Monday to Friday every week: according to Hanoi time zone, morning from 8:00 to 9:00, afternoon from 15:00 to 16:00; according to Beijing time zone, morning from 9:00 to 10:00, afternoon from 16:00 to 17:00.

The two sides of the Hoanh Mo (Vietnam) - Dong Trung (China) border gate established a mechanism for tourist customs clearance, organized specialized agencies to manage the border gate, assigned specific responsible persons and contact persons, and summarized the number of tourists and residents entering and exiting the border gate 20 minutes in advance in the morning and afternoon of working days. This information was then reported to the other side. When necessary, the two sides can extend the working hours at the border gate. Issues arising in the process of cooperation in passport management will be discussed and resolved amicably. This is to ensure high customs clearance efficiency for tourists and border residents.

Immediately after the announcement ceremony, more than 50 border residents entered Vietnam from China; nearly 20 border residents exited Vietnam to China.
