Speaking at the signing ceremony, VNA General Director Vu Viet Trang stated: Science and technology play an important role in promoting innovation. In recent times, our Party and State have always paid attention to and issued policies to promote the development of science and technology. General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong emphasized that science and technology is the most important driving force for the development of modern productive forces. VNA's domestic and foreign information products have reflected the rich and diverse efforts of its staff and scientific experts; domestic scientific achievements, as well as the inventions and wisdom of humanity. At the same time, VNA has increased reference information on science and technology development policies of a number of countries, in the context of institutional building being identified as one of the strategic breakthroughs in this term.
According to VNA General Director Vu Viet Trang, in recent times, the cooperation between the two agencies has contributed to spreading the values of science and technology in building the country, in a professional and sustainable direction. The signing of the communication cooperation program aims to meet the practical requirements of enhancing policy communication, especially policies in the field of science and technology.
At the ceremony, Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat hoped that VNA would continue to promote its role as the country's key press agency, further strengthen communication cooperation on science, technology and innovation policies to a wide range of people at home and abroad; especially information on the Party's guidelines and policies on science, technology and innovation.
According to the coordination program, VNA will promote information on the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws in the fields of science, technology, innovation and guiding documents for implementation; disseminate knowledge, raise social awareness of the role and position of science, technology and innovation in the country's sustainable development.

The two sides coordinated in communication to enhance the role and responsibility of Party committees and authorities at all levels in leadership, direction, coordination, implementation, and completion of mechanisms, policies, and laws in the fields of science, technology, and innovation; focusing on applying science, technology, and innovation in management, production, and real life.
The two sides also promoted communication about outstanding achievements in the fields of science, technology and innovation to people across the country and around the world, creating trust among the people in the cause of developing science, technology and innovation, contributing to enhancing the position and role of science, technology and innovation in the cause of national construction and development.
Based on the cooperation program, the two sides develop an annual communication plan suitable to the practical situation for signing and implementation. Annually, the two sides organize a preliminary review and assessment of the results of the coordination work, promptly remove difficulties and obstacles, and propose solutions to improve the quality and effectiveness of communication work in the fields of science, technology, and innovation.
